    I don't mourn Alhussain because :

    - I don't mourn the prophet Muhammad Alaihy Assalat Wa Assalam
    - Alhussain is one of the masters of youth in Jannah by Allah's willing
    - Alhussain was killed long time ago
    - I was not involved in killing Alhussain
    - I've never learnt in my life that Muslims should mourn on specific days and in this way .

    I'm not attacking Shi'ah people here .

i lately had a discussion with a shia,
he spoke alot, while i was clam sitting after he finished i said i believe in Yazid and Muwaiyah (rad anhum) are good persons and the messenger of Allah (pbuh) said : Those who will take in the first battle of Konstantinople (i think) or byztan will be forgiven all their sins, and i said verily Yazid was in every of the battles.

And he said i do not curse any of the companions and i spoke in front of him verily those who curse any companions from Abu Bakr (rad) to the last sahabi (rad) they are themselves the cursed one and away from islam.

And he said it is in Sahih Muslim the 10 or 12 Imams mentioned , i said yes

the first was Abu Bakr (rad) ....he shut his mouth and i did not listen further to his words.

And he said Abu Hanifa (rah) was the student of Ibn Jaffar (rah) i said Jaffar did not have such perverted beliefs like you,and Abu Hanifa(rah) said who ever doubts the disbelieve of Shia has himselfs comited disbelieve,he said im not that kind of shia.

      lol

Osho (member of this forum) ,

wants some attention because no one pays attention to his real disbelieve in believing that Osho was god,saint,dog...what ever,
so he started the common discussion to get some stronger position while he is nothing more than a nobody in his real life.

while i wish the pakistani taliban would had their hands on this osho (who died because of his drugs),i can imagine they would have butchered him like a chicken.

It's nothing similar to the Ashura. It is common in the Middle East. I don't know how it is in North Africa (Libya, Tunisia etc.)

i know that in afghanistan shias dont curse Aisha(r),Abu Bakr(r),Omar(r) or Osman(r) but aroudn the world they do.

              "lol"

Your beliefs are more perverted. May Allah forgive you for your ignorance and arrogance.

I don't suppose you even know why Hussain (pbuh) was killed and why the battle of Karbala was fought.

If we follow your perverted beliefs then Yazid was sinless, so Hussain (pbuh) was the one who stirred fitna by refusing to give baiya (pledge of allegiance) to Yazid because he believed Yazid to be a drunkard womanizer.

Not only him but top "sunni" scholars of the days labelled Yazid as a kafir. But hey...what do they know? Hadith says Yazid was sinless...hadith are never wrong. Not like the fake caliph can fabricate some ahadiths to validate his false claims as leader.

I suppose you want to send peace and blessings to the grand parents of Yazid. His grandfather Abu Sufyan, the biggest enemy of the Holy Prophet (pbuh)...after all, Abu Sufyan couldn't have been such a villain if his son and grandson were sinless? And his grandmother...Hind...the woman who tore the liver of Hamza (radiallahanhu), the milk-brother of the Holy Prophet peace be upon him, after the battle of Badr...the apple doesn't fall far from the tree. So they too deserve the "radiallahu anhum".

You have given praise to the children of the greatest of the enemies of the Messenger of Allah...and you examplify typical hardcore "sunni" attitudes. Funny ...how you call your self "Sunni" and proclaim to follow the sirah of the Prophet...but don't even know who was more dearer to him? The accursed Yazid? or Hussain...You will go for the former over the later...because you can "shut him up"?

Verily Yazid was not "every battle".

All major historians, Ibn Kathir, Ibn Khaldun and Mohammad Khudri confirm that Yazid's first battle at constantinople was in 52 A.H. Ma'wiya had been to constantinople 16 times already according to Ibn Kathir. So verily he was not in the first battle of constantinople. Verily all historians differ on the date of the first battle, but the latest date is 42 AH. Verily the hadith is not in reference to Yazid.

No self respecting Islamic Alim ever praised yazid or even liked him. Everyone knows that Hussain (radiallahanhu) was a hero, a shaheed, both the victor and the oppressed.

You need to go and do a lot of research bro...a lot.
Most of your knowledge seems to come from salafi pamphlets.

Alchemist why you are spewing with typical shia tactics.
shias curse the sahaba and try to steal Ali(r)Fatima(Hussein(r) and Hassan(r) and they wish we were as jahils as them to curse these noble people.

you are playing the same trick here thinking we somehow dont acknowledge the martyrdom of Hussein(r) or as if he is of the shias.

                  I am speaking the truth!

During the reign of Ma'awiya and Yazid the family of the ahlul bayt were getting cursed on the members of every masjid with the beginning of every Jummah sermons from Sham (region of Syria) to Iraq...and even mecca.
So am I going to attribute to that all of those who proclaim to be apart of the "sunnah and jammah"...a phrase that was coined by Ma'awiya himself...the year of Jammah in 41 AH.

If you can disprove what I said ..go ahead.

                    • All respetable Sunni scholars during all time has been highly critical of the kafir Yazid so what is the point exactly?

All Sunnis have great respect for Iman Hussein (ra) and every single member of the Ahl al-Bayt. BUT that said we do not support the actions during Ashura nor some of the Shia believe that contradicts the Holy Quran and the Hadiths.

We Sunnis held all Muslim martyrs in high regard especially the prince of martyrs, Imam Hussein (ra).

What I also don't like about Shia Islam is the special status of Syeds. (just look at Iran).

I am an Sunni Syed myself (Al-Hussaini) but I do not brag about it as most Shia's do nor do I regard myself as a "special" muslim because of that opposed to the Syed Shia's I have met in my life. Actually the vast majority of Syeds are Sunnis but you do not see special favours for them like among Shias. I strongly oppose that.

قال رسول الله :يا فاطمة اعملي لنفسك فإني لا أغني عنك من الله شيئاً

Prophet PBUh said:"O Fatima Work(For your final day), because then I cannot help you (to enter heaven)".
Meaning that only your good deeds count and not your "divine bloodline" or any other Un-Islamic ideas.

Ali (Raa) supposedly said in the important twelver book Nahjul Balagha:

قال الإمام علي(ع): "إن ولي محمد من أطاع الله وإن بعدت لحمته، وإن عدو محمد من عصى الله وإن قربت قرابته" نهج البلاغة

Imam Ali (raa) says:" Prophet Mohammad's (pbuh) wali (friend/follower/lover) is he who obeys Allah even if he is from a distant land, and Prophet Mohammad's (pbuh) enemy is he who disobeys Allah even if he was the closest relative." (Nahjul Balagha)

Meaning the bloodline and the progeny and all this will not grant you special status with Allah which allows you to enter heaven, in fact if anything it should put more responsibility on you.

Prophet Muhammad died a natural death so no mourning entails his demise. Even on his natural death Muslims at that time were highly sad.

Imam Hussain died long time ago but his death was so tragic that his death is mourned till today if not by few but mourned by millions others.

If some one dies in our family or killed by some one else still we feel sad and mourn the death. Only killers don't mourn others mourn. Also killers don't mourn because they kill with a purpose, others mourn an dits natural expression of the feelings by humans.

One might have not learnt how and when to mourn but can observe keenly why these millions of Muslims mourn Al Hussain through out the world including Arabs of Iraq, Lebanon, Yemen and Syria.

                          Osho:

Do you care to answer my latest post? I have answered all your former questions and the view of the majority of the Sunni Ulama.

What is your view on this?

Do you agree that one can mourn the deaht of Imam Hussein (ra) without performing does hideous and un-Islamic acts that are performed during Ashura? Do you agree that self-harm is not allowed in Islam? Do you agree that all Sunnis respect the Ahl al-Bayt? Do you agree that Syeds have an big responsibility to be examples (and all other Muslims no matter race, ethnicity and language) but they are not divine as some Shia's proclaim?

Please answer my and brother Graveyardofempires and Afghanistan2010 questions?

What do you disagree with Sunni faith since you are a Shia? What do you need to get explained and what exactly makes you Shia and not Sunni apart from inheritance from your parents (I suppose)?

                          • I did not quote and comment on your post because I almost agree with it. You have taken a balanced approach and I appreciate it.

The matter of Syyeds is a kind of nobility in Islam. Every society has a concept of nobles or Ashraf as Prophet was proud to be a Qureshi and tribes and groups according to Quran is an identity. Aristocracy althu not recommended is still a reality.Althu I dont believe in racism but I accept the differences among people , races, ethnic groups and nations. Pashtuns are not the same as Arabs.

I am not a Shia. I am a Sunni Hanafi with Sufi tendency.

The purpose of this topic was to know how Sunnis mourn the tragic event of Karbala. And to sensitize dear friends of this great day Ashura as no one was talking on the subject althu we are in the month of Muharam.

It means the whole Afghan government, the Loya jerga, parliament, the president, cabinet, all governors, ANA, NA, all provincial ministers and governors, Walis, Olaswals, police, law enforcement agencies and all those Afghans who voted for the current government and parliament are also Non Muslims. It means only Taliban are Muslims in Afghanistan.
