Muharam why Sunnis are not observing this day???????

I am really shocked to see that Sunni Muslims are not that much observing the Muharam and Ashura day/month as Shia Muslims do! Imam Husain was the grandson of the Prophet of both Sunnis and Shias but I dont see the zeal among Sunnis to commemorate this great tragedy of the history of Islam. Only Shia remember this day, mourn and express their religious sentiments while Sunnis almost remain almost silent or lukewarm.

Does it mean that Sunnis agree with what Yazid committed or their inertia on this matter has some other connotation?

This fasting has nothing to do with the mourning of Muharam. Actually this fast was recommended by Hazrat Muhammad during his life time many years before the incident of Karbala and martyrdom of Imam Hussain. This is very interesting that he was martyred by the same day which was already a holy day amongst Muslims.
Along with fast Sunnis may also do some thing to commemorate the most trajic event of the history of Islam when the very dears of the family of their prophet were killed by dictators and brutal forces of that time.

Haram in Islam is something which is clearly prohibited in the Holy Quran. Can you please show me where in the holy Quran crying and beating yourself is forbidden?

This is just the propaganda of Wahabi, Salafi and some ignorant Mullas who even don't let people to unburden their feelings, emotions and sentiments. They press the throats of people and don't let them do their catharsis.

When some one dies or some thing bad happens do mourn or lament and let your emotions released which is also good for your personality development and cleansing your unconscious which is a kind of psychotherapy. Weeping and expression of emotions is very good for your mental health.

I am not talking only of HERE but of all Sunnis and Pashtuns. Among Pashtuns almost half of the Bangash tribe and the complete Turi tribe are Shias.
