So many people in the world had their beloved's head chopped off and presented to them on a platter because they stood up for Allah in the way of righteousness?

You do mention him in every salah when you say "Allahuma saleh 3la mohammadin wa 3ala a7la mohammadan"
The ahlul bayt are Ali, Fatima and their children (peace be upon them) according to authentic ahadith.

It is even recorded that the holy prophet peace be upon wept for the death of his grandson hussain...

yes many people in the world according to the individual have felt the same pain and have had worse done to their children (while being alive and witnessing it infront of their eyes), id rather not share some stories of how people have been killed just read into how some of the Muslim people of Iraq or afghanistan are killed, theres no scale from 1 to 10 in how people are murdered cuz you just hear about a number 11. are you saying theres no story of a muslim thats more horrific than that of Imaam Hussein?

Muhammad PBUH wasnt even alive to witness this trauma yet people think they are imitating what the prophet PBUH would have done as if they have the authority to judge what his actions would have been na'uthubillah

why did the prophet PBUH weep? because he new what would happen to his grandson?? ok if so then did he wip himself? i believe crying is something optional to do if your sincere and not 'acting' how do you or osho know that a sunni muslim isnt sitting in his room crying his eyes out, remembering death and praying nafl making dua and suplications or does only coming out in the streets, arranging mass feasts, and telling the world how concerned you are count??

What about if Imaam Hussein was a cousin and not a member of the ahlul bayt would you even care? would you even force yourself to shed 1 tear??.. let me ask you something, who started these rituals off?

Only Shia remember this day, mourn and express their religious sentiments while Sunnis almost remain almost silent or lukewarm.

Does it mean that Sunnis agree with what Yazid committed or their inertia on this matter has some other connotation?

Shias beating themselves is an expression of remorse and fear of the wrath and punishment that will be put on them by Allah Almighty for killing the grand son of the Prophet (pbuh). We Sunnis do commemorate the day by fasting, reciting drood and praying Allah for hell fire on deviant shias for killing Imam Hussian (RA) that had confided in these hypocrites.

observing as in spreading disease and looking silly in the streets?

There are people today who think that admitting God’s absolute greatness decreases the value and importance of humans in the creation, as if God and mankind are rivals competing in greatness and power. Meanwhile I feel that whenever our perception of God’s greatness increases, with it we become greater, because we are the creation of a great God.

Mourning is not allowed in islam for more than 3 dayz.when Imam hussain r.a was martyred ,there were hundredz of Sahaba /companions of Prophet S.A.W in the surrounding areas bt no single Sahabi commemorated this great loss in such harsh n terrible way of "Mourning"like shias . Who r they (shias) following ???? The Prophet S.A.W or the companions ???? Do they find any evidence from their lives .

If you want to kill somebody conquer his heart, then leave slowly and leave them between " Death and Madness"... !

How Shias killed Imam Hussain and now they mourn and repent on that? This seems bizarre that millions of Shias now as remorse are observing this day! All these Shias are not children of the people of Kofa. Even the people of Kofa were not Shias. The killers were the forces of Yazeed not the people of Kofa. Kofians only betrayed Imam Hussain and were not his killers.

Mourning has no limits that it can be for 3 days or more days. This is an emotional condition and depends how you take the loss serious and then you mourn and feel the loss depending how dear the lost one was for you. The mourning of a son will be definitely different that that of a nephew or cousin or a friend. This seems stupid , inhuman and irrational to put limits on the expressions of one's feelings.

You do realise that the admins of this site are muslims as well, so.. basically you disrespect their faith, their religion, then you have the nerve to give them orders to ban people who share the same faith..as them...

                          Dream on.. son.

Religion is an important section in these forums. Religion is also an important part of the life of Pashtuns. One cant ignore it. Majority of Pashtuns are Sunnis but two tribes Bangash(half) and Turi are Shia. We must talk of the religious sentiments of all Pashtuns.

I otherwise agree with what said above. The solution is secularism and not atheism. Atheism is one extreme while Salafism, Wahabism, Taliban is another extreme.Pashtuns should try to be secular where they can maintain religion to their private lives while their culture and society is Pashtunwali and their politics is democracy , liberalism and any other system which make them an educated, developed nation at par with G8 or at least G20 comity of nations of the world.

Pashtunwali already talks of secularism where it differentiate Jumat and Hujra, Khan and Mulla.

Mourning on Ashura or the month of Muharam is a religious sentiment and we must appreciate those who love the family of the Prophet and express their feelings in a peaceful way.

Sure I know if the admin of this forum is pashtun then more likely he will be a muslim same to me. I have nothing against my belief. But sure the forum is a nationalist forum for pashtuns. Most of pashtuns are not necessarily religious scholars though some may be are religiously more knowledgeable. If every thread starts with a religous discussion this show that the forum is something like an Islamic forum. Then some will be scholars there and others will put questions to know about the religious perspective. This violates the purpose of the forum. Where we need all pashtuns whether they are religious scholars are just simple pashtuns. We need their point of view about pashtuns problems in terms of worldly explanations rather than some super natural myths. This will be more akin to other nations of the world. Minimize your sectarian fights please.

Rishtia you might not be a pashtun reading Mandharh (a branch of Esepzais ) as Hindu Munder (the hindu temple). Oh of course this forum has more outsiders than pashtuns. It seems your mistake is unintentional.

I don't mourn . Some Sunni fast Ashora and a day before or a day after to thank Allah for saving Musa from Phir'oun , not in mourning of Alhussain.
