They are bringing up personal affairs of the Sahaba from the past 1400 years. Once a scholar said ''Ali (ra) after 6 months accepted Abu Bakr (ra), but the Shia did not accepted him after 1400 years. And it is in fact not only that, it is a lie which they call imamah, and quote the Qur'an as evidence.

but if our books contain the truth, then you must also accept other narrations that are on "our" books.

So why should we only believe those arguments that are used by Shi'ites and disbelieve in others that contradict shi'ite dogma?

Its either this or that. Either the books like Sahih Muslim and Sahih Bukhari are both false and lies against "ahlul bayt" or everything is true and correct.

It can't be that only some narrations that fit the Shi'ite agenda are correct, and everything else is false.
