personally, i believe that islam might have succeeded in being a glorious religion had it not been for the influences of two individuals in the past. one being mohammad ibn e abdul wahab and the other, that ghazali guy. i am not so sure about the ghazali guy because i have not read well in to him but you can link all the evil that is or has ever been attached to islam as the result of the ****ing ups of this ibn e abdul wahab guy.
before that, not only was the islamic civilization flourishing but could easily marked as one far more prominent in cultural, social or economical facets than others present at the time.

I was thinking on these lines that was world better before Islam or after? I need your honest feedback on this issue.

Was Mecca not better before Muhamamd. A vibrant city with a lot of culture, art, music, sculpture, dance, commerce, festivals, social life, happiness, values, traditions, cutoms, brotehrhood and many other aspects of civilization.

After Islam, all these were banned and replaced with pure unqualified monotheism, a dull boring life, segregation of sexes, making women subordinate to men and imprisoning them in the 4 walls of their houses.

And a lot of blood shed, killings, wars, fights that even Ali and Ayesha did not spare each other and even the grandson of Muhamamd was brutally murdered. Even today Muslim world is the poorest one, with a lot of wars and terrorism and no science , no philosophy and no worthy contribution to the over all welfare and development of the world.

The only achievement of Islam may be Sufism, but the rest is all negativity.

So you've finally stopped being an enemy of 'Extreme Islam" and now evolved into a machine that spews hatred about Islam as a whole, a very predictable character you are, you stinking Hindu rascal, are you drunk on cow urine or something. Also. you are truly a novice on history and Islam, a beginner that does not even know the basics. before Islam Mecca and Arabs were one of the most low life ****s on the face of the earth, they used to bury their daughters alive (just like you Hindus do till this day), women were not even regarded as human beings, that whole area was regarded to be inhabited by savages. When Muhammad liberated it he gave women rights and made a flourishing empire that eventually spread across the globe, making Muslims pioneers in the golden age of Islam which paved the way for most of your modern advancements. The truth is, Islam is a religion which guides our moral decisions in life. It is the foundation of our legal system. Therefore, It is utterly stupid to think that we can find answers about how to cure diseases or learn how to travel to other planets just by reading the Qur'an.

The problem of secularists and stupid and illiterate muslim masses is that both of you don't understand what religion is and what purpose it serves in a human society.

The fact that Western countries are evolved into powerful technologically advanced societies is because they have invested in sciences. They might have beliefs and ideas about justice and morality which we disapprove of, but they are part of humanity and their achievement is something we can learn from and impelement in our own society.

We won't progress by removing veils from our women and make homosexuality legal and appoint kafirs as our rulers. We won't progress by importing all other forms of corruption from the west and mimick them in order to feel enlightened and progressive.

We have to look at cause and effect. If we see anything of benefit for our society, we have to look at its causes, we have to look at how it was achieved. Absence of morality and abolishment of religion from society are not the causes of progress in the west. Their religiosity and their morality prior to enlightement was corrupt and evil. Thats why it needed to be abandoned. However, the enlightenemtn in the west wouldn't have been possible if it wasn't for the advancement of sciences happening in Islamic world where religion the main theme of social life.

So the problem of you people is that you don't understand why non-Muslims are better off and you don't understand what Islam is. These two factors are the causes of your often emotional and irrational attitude towards Muslims and Islam in general.

If you put your emotions aside, we may be able to have a sensible discussion where we can look for answers to the problems of our own society.

The reason west has succeeded is because they started believing in humanity and equality, especially after World War 2. They became more secular and took out religion from the state level. The muslim world is still stuck in dark ages and we still dont know what to do. The whole place is a confused mess
