They have been occupied but not conquered. They have always managed to fight off the invaders. Afghans have never submitted to foreign rule and always fought till the end. History shows us this. This is what British and every historian has written. Which bits of Pakistan (save for the tribal areas) can claim this?

There is a big difference between being conquered and being occupied.

So why are the 30 million Afghans sitting so calmly under occupation for 30 years ? Why are they not revolting against Americans? Am talking about the normal folks not the Taliban .

Tell me one instance when Pakistan was conquered since 1947 ? I can tell you numerous times Afghanistan was made to act like slaves by foreigners since 1919 .

Like I said before, Taliban are fractured, Pakistan has almost NO control over the Taliban because most of them have splintered off. As a movement they're weak. It's only a few commanders here and there that are gaining any ground and even they're not really in line with the Quetta Shura.

I mean they wouldn't be attacking Pakistani forces otherwise now would they? You wouldn't be cheering Taliban murdering your own countrty men now?

All this indicates is that Pakistan's terrorist policy has backfired. .........Doesn't look like those Afghans are tame and humbled. ......

Government has control over 57 % of the area who are these weak people that are holding 43 % of the land ?

Pakistan is in the same situation as Turkey is . Both have unstable neighbours at their borders and both are trying their best to control it themselves so as to not spill over entirely . As with any Proxy support there is bound to be a backlash at some point . 1995-2001 Afghanistan was a province of Pakistan and that was the first time its land was not used against Pakistan .

You didn't read what I wrote, I said Taliban MOVEMENT are weak. The people controlling it are splintered off. That's what's happening right now. Learn to read.

As with any proxy support, there's bound to be backlash? No there isn't , that's excuse making for Pakistan's failures. You can't have proxies that attack you. Now granted, there are probably some splinters who are more in line with Pakistan, but as whole? those days are gone.. Pakistan has failed, which is evident that you're being murdered by them now. Actually it was evident before, since the whole Pak-Taliban thing sprung out of the Pakistanis trying to nurture Talibanism.

Also, as economist Kaushik Basu says: "For a nation to progress it is important for people to spend time on science, mathematics and literature instead of spending time showing that 5,000 years ago their ancestors did science, mathematics and literature."

Why do you need to aim to be Farangyan though? That seems silly, To be progressive in science and technology doesn't mean you have to be loose with morality or abandon ardent social values. This is what I mean by mental colonization. you haven't learned to make objective analysis of Western culture and seem to think everything they do is "advanced". Most of their cultural habits could be described as jahiliyah. So this outlook is an example of sycophantism and not understanding of how progress works.

The science and technology advancement isn't done by people who party and go to clubs. It's done by people who go to bed at 10 pm and most of their hobbies deal with rather wholesome activities. So the LOGICAL thing is to take what's actually beneficial and ignore the stuff that isn't fruitful. Also about women's rights, women participating in society and not being put in seclusion does not depend on Clubs and women dancing around bodies exposed. You're mixing two different issues.

No one said Mughals and Afghans ruled at the same time. You forget that South Asian history is a complex ebb and flow. It wasn't like Mughals came and all of a sudden they were rulers. There was rise and fall and power struggles.Babur made Sher Shah Suri one of his generals and then Sher Shah deposed Humayun Babur's son and Sher Shah had an empire over most of what Mughals had controlled. This was Suri Empire. Before Mughals came to power there was Alauddin Khalji (Ghilzai) and Bahlol Lodi.

So it wasn't Mughals who "sent" Pashtuns around, Pashtuns were around long before. Come on you can wikipedia about Ranjit Singh, but you couldn't Wikipedia this? Sounds like denial.
Don't kid yourself, anti-hindu and anti-India is evident. Only neutral afghan on India here is Deshrozam? And apparantly he's secular and progressive so that explains the love for India.

Science and technology has little to do with women empowerment, how many famous scientists are women? First mindset will have to change to give women basic rights which isn't possible under islamic mentality. After that some will go to discos and dance just like men do all the time even in Afghanistan and Saudi arabia.

I just wikid and Sher Shah ruled for what 12 years after taking advantage by killing Mughal leader. That's why its part of Mughal empire history. Bit like Pakistan which is British made country ruling for 70 years but with no end in sight.

I think you're a bit of the mark here.
There are some elements of Afghan Taliban who have joined Daesh in Afghanistan.I can't say anything for them.
But the rest are not anti-Pak and neither do they attack Pakistan army.
Don't confuse TTP with Afghan Taliban.
I'm not taking sides here, just stating facts.

What a deluded individual you are. Pakistan was conquered-note conquered not invaded for 200 years. All the inhabitants were the Queens subjects (not FATA), they were British through being subjugated.

Afghanistan has been fighting for the past 30-40 years. Foreign soldiers are being killed all the time. There is resistance now as there has been in the past against the Russians, the British, and every invader before them. Do not compare Pakistani history of subjugation to Afghanistan, they are like chalk and cheese. Afghans have throughout history fought and resisted, which may be why the country is in tatters now. This is the kind of rubbish they probably feed you in Pakistan, yet the Pakistani establishment would name all their missiles after Afghan leaders.

By the way I'm not an Afghan national.

Foreign soldiers are being killed by Pakistan Sponsored Taliban or Haqqani not by Afghan People . Afghan people are busy looting the $100 billion American aid announced for them . It is one of the few countries in the world today which is conquered . What else do you want the americans to do ? Take all those brown barren mountains with them to Newyork ? Afghanistan's future has effectively been decided by Pakistan since 1979 .

                  • Conquered, invaded, colonised. These definitions are not hard to find or look up in a dictionary, look at the official definition and derive your conclusions based on that rather than emotional definitions blinded by disillusioned nationalism.

                      • I'm not going to comment on the content here... as honestly, most things, other than what I say, are boring, lame, laden with grammatical errors, or just crap imitations of what I say.

But user profile "Pakistan": Why choose this username? What if you **** up? Then they're going to say "Pakistan" is an idiot.

The content is probably fine. In some cases even good. Pakistan does have to look out for it's own interests. Afghanistan could've been a massive nuisance had we not. Siding with India, when they're outright hostile to us, is not exactly grounds for being left untouched. India is garbage. There... thats a better username: IndiaIsGarbage

FATA was not part of the British Empire. Why do you think these are called tribal areas? Tribals also live as locals in other parts of KPK (Peshawar, Marian, Bannu etc) but those areas are not called "tribal areas" The subjects of FATA were never disarmed, nor did they pay taxes, nor did they acknowledge the Queen as their leader ever. Why do you think pre 9/11 the police or army had almost zero jurisdiction there? Even when the British were in charge of the surrounding areas they couldn't enter tribal areas without signing unless it was for a punitive expedition,i.e. to fight. British law did now apply beyond the roads. The British themselves report that. It's official knowledge. More importantly tribals themselves never accepted that they were British subjects.

                            Try and understand history.

Pakistanis are not killing American soldiers-Afghans are. Pakistanis only kill their own. Afghanistan would be conquered if there was peace there and everyone accepted that the Americans have taken over and the Americans set up administration with all resistance wiped out. I don't see that happening.

I really don't know where you get the notion that Afghanistan is conquered. Foreign soldiers are being killed there regularly. English may not be your first language but try and differentiate between invaded and conquered.

I fail to understand how FATA is part of Pakistan if British didn't rule it. FATA mean federal administrative area, directly ruled from Islamabad.

Now FATA is merged with KPK and soon they will get police and Pakistan laws extended to them. FCR will be replaced by Riwaj act which means jirga decision will not be final and can be challenged in court. Basically like any other province of Pakistan.
