What they do is clear to all those of sane mentality. Is this in sync with the teachings of Islam?

Since most of the verses of the qur'an where Islamic laws are based upon are clear and are elaborated in the ahadith.

only some deviant sects claim otherwise.
      Just pointing out the obvious.

        Now,

IF I TELL YOU A TRUE Muslim would not kill innocent people.

How can you argue that they do?
Simply -- I point out the Muslims that tell me otherwise.

Funny thing, that. I can provide a counter example to your claim.

Either he is a terrorist, or wants to take the credit for being one. Either way, his confession means I have nothing to prove.

Its too much for you bro.

Terrorism does not exist in Islam.
Sorry, I just proved you wrong.

            Not to mention Master Khan.

The problem runs deeper than only a few individuals. We need to look into the source of all this extemist thought. We need to make a sincere assesment of the history of political Islam.

Not true. Most terrorists are always inspired by religious dogmas and mythological nostalgias.

                • I hope I don't offend anyone, but I believe that we cannot judge who is a Muslim and who is not--this right is reserved for Allah and only Allah Jalla Shaanuhu! If someone verbally declares that he or she is not a Muslim, that is a different story all together.

I feel short changed when I see the Western media attacking Islam based on a few hooligans. It is unfair. Islam has been systematically targeted. Unfortunately, when some Muslims stand up to defend Islam they are no better than those who were the cause in the first place.

The Western media only portrays images of uncivilized Muslims to paint a picture of Muslims in general. This is not fair.

We Muslims should beat them in their own game. This is only possible when we use less emotion and more obedience to what our beloved Prophet (saw) left for us, his example.

The Meccans tired every sort of smearing campaign against him (saw). However, he was resolute and patient. He defeated them in the end with steadfastedness to his (saw) belief.
Islam will prevail, a promise made by the Creator of this universe:

[61:8] They desire to extinguish the light of Allah with the breath of their mouths, but Allah will perfect His light, even if the disbelievers hate it.

[61:9] He it is Who has sent His Messenger with the guidance and the Religion of truth, that He may cause it to prevail over all religions, even if those who associate partners with God hate it.

Like a member said George Washington was the biggest terrorist on earth in the british eyes. And Americans praise him right?
An common retort of the Taliban apologists. Consider the three levels of thought: Me/You (Nadir Shah/Samima), Pashtun Nation and Humanity. To which of these does this Taliban phenomenon grant a positive value? To none. They are my enemies for ideological and personal reasons. They are enemies of Pashtuns for obvious reasons and same goes for the cause of humanity. Thus, they are of negative value.

are you saying that the Taliban are representing Islam and its tenets?

That, actually, was my question to the members of the forum.

So why does the movement draw heavily from Islamic scriptures, Islamic philosophy (If there is such a thing) and the nostalgia of an Islamic past?

Their approach is unheard of within the 23 year span of the prophethood of our beloved Prophet (saw). Islamic scripture and Islamic philosophy do not condone Taliban style approach.

                                I wouldn't be so sure.

So you believe that the Talibs and the like minded interpret the Koran the wrong way?
