Any proof that it's a commentary by somebody like me? ....you seem to be just making assumptions without any basis; prove that it's merely an arbitrary commentary.

I already did, it does not make sense. go to pashtunland and ask someone that you would like to be their slave living in their home. they would slap you silly, but if you goto the area where I am from, you would get a bullet to the head.

stop trying to play off of emotional black mail; and stop prancing around like a propgandist I know Toramana's agenda; but truth is the truth no matter who says it; even a Shi'a Maoist Hazara, and in this respect he's right in the critique of immoral practices accepted in our societies as normal. Even if his real goal is just to promote the moral decay of imperialistic hegemony

is the sky no longer blue because Toramana said so?

Your argument is not "proof" it's an argument; proof is actually showing something that confirms your argument; you asserted a HYPOTHESIS; a Hypothesis is not itself evidence.

That's not a good example; since Pashtun culture has dramatically changed since then.

Your hypothetical postulations aren't "proofs" ....remember a hypothesis is NEVER proof

There's no need for allies; You have such a juvenile understanding of logic it's embarrassing. Just because you disagree with someone about other topics; doesn't mean you disagree with someone about everything on that basis; it's about truth not allies. The reason you believe that's the case is that's the mode by which you think and thus project it upon others.

Modernist Islam was a major intellectual current in the Muslim world during the 19th and 20th centuries. Proponents of this movement typically believed that it was not only possible but imperative to show how "modern" values and institutions could be reconciled with authentically Islamic ideals. This sourcebook brings together a broad range of writings on modernist Islam from across the Muslim world. It makes available for the first time in English the writings of many of the activists and intellectuals who made up the early modernist Islamic movement. Charles Kurzman and a team of section editors, each specializing in a different region of the Islamic world, have assembled, translated, and annotated the work of the most important of these figures. With the publication of this volume, an English-speaking audience will have wider access to the literature of modernist Islam than did the makers of the movement themselves.

Reaching beyond sensational headlines, Land of the Unconquerable at last offers a three-dimensional portrait of Afghan women. In a series of wide-ranging, deeply reflective essays, accomplished scholars, humanitarian workers, politicians, and journalists—most with extended experience inside Afghanistan—examine the realities of life for women in both urban and rural settings. They address topics including food security, sex work, health, marriage, education, poetry, politics, prisoners, and community development. Eschewing stereotypes about the burqa, the contributors focus instead on women’s empowerment and agency, and their struggles for peace and justice in the face of a brutal ongoing war. A fuller picture of Afghanistan’s women past and present emerges, leading to social policy suggestions and pragmatic solutions for a peaceful future.

and what were you saying earlier about why Amanullah banned slavery.....you seemed to have forgotten to address that and instead looked for a cowardly diversion. as usual.

Shadow .....are you suggesting that anyone who asserts that certain flaws or short comings exist amongst Pashtuns is anti Pashtun in other words

you believe Pashtuns are infallible? isn't that against Islam?
