The problem is ... who decides what an apostate is? What if scholars disagree? Whose opinion should we trust then?
Who defines what an apostate who hurts Islam is? What if they give evdience for whatever they say USING the Quran and hadith, or certain interpretations? Why should they be killed?

Why's there something for killing peaceful Muslims who leave Islam but NOTHING for violent Muslims who kill Muslims, bomb people's houses, burn down schools and libraries, and so on? What prevents us from explaining why these people should be killed?

We have thousands of scholars. They might not be considered as scholars to you because they have studied Islam in Islamic institutions and not in Western universities. But absolute majority of Muslims rather accept thm over people who have read a few books for their islamic studies courses and suddenly become arrogant and challenge pretty much anything about Islam.

Just to mention again these punishment can only be applied in presence of proper infrastructure and just islamic system.

You think that this is a "strong" argument: "Kill apostates because hadiths say so (even though the Quran strictly says 'No Compulsion in Religion")? And the reason they're to be killed is that they left the right religion!!"

That's a strong argument? Why, don't you realize, most Muslims aren't Muslims out of choice; they're BORN into families who classify themselves as Muslims. So, why should people not be allowed to leave Islam if they want to?

the article does not say that the quran should be refered to as "the holy qur'an" neither does it say that the term, al quran al muqadas is the right way to refer to the words of allah.
