Unfortunately there's not enough literature available online to see the details of this, but I think the Mughals were a lot more ruthless on the Sikhs than Ahmad Shah. Mughals used to torture the hell out of Sikhs, when they refused to convert... cutting them "joint by joint" and putting them on "torture wheels" etc. ASD was a bit more straight forward... get rid of them.

It's a story made for morale, I think any militia at the time would make stories up to inspire their fighters. Sikhs aren't in the wrong on this. Mughals were ruthless, and barbaric in their pursuit to torture Sikhs, when really they hadn't even taken up arms back then. Abdalis, well... they were just a pile of turd and a stain on Punjab's history.

Tajik/Farsiwans were my friends there, but the few pashtuns there including you were extremely racist against indics and mohajirs, and no I did not claim to be a pathan there, I am pretty sure of that
