What do Apostates expect? some sort of Heart-warming Farewell party where everyone's showering them with gifts and flowers?

We can pander whatever sophistry and sophisticated pseudo-intellectual word salad as to why people apostastize. But it all comes down to a Current Global Cultural and Social Landscape, and that further boils down to people who just feel inferior about themselves and bunch of So called "3rd World" peasants having this neurotic need to impress a bunch of pompous over entitled white people so they aren't labeled "backwards".

Seriously, Apostates, and their White-bred enablers, manufacture this facade, they've made some bold act of defiance, like it's some sort of Epic Hollywood tale about the Noble pursuit of Empowerment and Liberation. But really, it's all driven by spinelessness and fear of people who view them as their subordinate.

The true defiance is to BE a Muslim, and one that believes in it, especially in this climate of Animosity towards Islam. Most apostates don't even realize, they're basically "Useful Idiots" Native collaborators.

And this is why Islam is often very unforgiving to those that abandon it. It means more than simply no longer believing. It's an act of betrayal that endangers our values and way of life.

Also, as economist Kaushik Basu says: "For a nation to progress it is important for people to spend time on science, mathematics and literature instead of spending time showing that 5,000 years ago their ancestors did science, mathematics and literature."

I know why, they need some third worlder to be their sycophant. It gives them this feeling that they've conquered over you.

Its not black and white like that. There are different opinions and muslim scholars themselves differ on this matter. I guess it depends which scholars you follow etc.

That's what i thought before as well when I defended Islam.
But I was then overwhelmed by the amount of sheikhs/mullahs, people who were for it.

Also, is that your reasoning? that 'religious countries use to be the less developed ones' what a ridiculous conclusion. Why compare Sudan, Somalia, Pakistan? why not compare Turkey, Gulf states, Indonesia, Malaysia? naive fool.

Backed by facts you say, what if i write a list of religious people that are more educated than you will & can ever be. Then what will you say?? like i said don't expose yourself into the fool you are.

If you're referring for death for apostasy, the classical fuqaha indicate that most of the time death penalty was associated with treason, and motives for sedition, so hence the proclamation was made since most people apostasized for seditious reasons. Outside of that context, apostasy would not require death penalty, so long as the person respected the social values of Muslims and did not try and sow sedition among Muslims.

This is why I don't get why apostates generally become contentious loudmouths, they're basically bringing it on themselves.

What do you know about what ExMuslims face?
Many are forced to live double lives because of them openly rejecting Islam will tear the family apart, get kicked out of family home or possibly endanger their life. Just look at news.
There are some lucky ones in the west that don't encounter any problems.

In my case, my parents are fully aware that I am not religious or care for it but not a full atheist.
My brother on the other hand knows.

The only reason why Ex Muslims "demonise" Islam so much is because of how evil it is.
You can't just leave it & be chill like in other religions.
Your family, friends, government & fellow countrymen turn against you and want to KILL you.
ExMuslims will leave Islam in peace, when Muslims/Islam will leave Exmuslims in peace.

Studying Art rather than Medicine? Hey that's me. lol

Haven't you heard of different Time Zones? Or are you one of those Muslims who think the Earth is flat?

                      Where are the religious Pashtuns?
I doubt they care enough to be on this site or are too scared to express themselves because of the CIA & Mossad hysteria.
But I doubt they actually have better stuff to do, they are probably watching TV.

You little drama queen, talk about over reacting.

LOL ....well you know the typical Youtube Apostate story

"I was a devout practicing Muslim, deeply studying Islam"

Most of that is B.S. ....generally they come upon some website and think the exposition somehow debunked Islam because they use such combative contentious language. you know how a lot of Internet Atheists boast "The Internet: Where Religions Come to Die?"

Well that's JUST IT, they don't realize this statement is their undoing. MOst of their resources LACK Rigorous material to be able to study or analyze the textual sources. So they think a quote here and there about war or punishing adulterers is ALL there is to Islam. Actual Islamic scholarship is painstakingly detailed and very rigorous in it's depths. Just Googling something wouldn't give you a full or accurate perspective. It may give you clues, it may inspire questions. But seldom will you get answers.

Yet somehow these kids think doing a Google search gave them the Epiphany they were looking for. Self deluded bunch

As long as you are sincere and true to yourself the rest doesn't matter. If your enquiry/investigation has lead you to believe that is what Islamic stance is regarding apostacy then you are entitled to your opinion.

Just like the guy's picture in his signature, you will see these convenient miss quotes used by these types of people, but i guarantee you he has just copied and pasted it from some Islamopheobic website and never has actually heard the guy himself.

It's hilarious they all claim to be religious devout Muslims in their past lives, some like Karachi even telling us he was a Scholar of Islam! hahaha..mental issues

I actually looked up the quote in his sig by Khalid Yasin, totally blown out of context. Now granted I think such a statement was just sloppy on Khalid Yasin's part ....and I don't endorse Preachers like him who don't use more sophisticated language because it can easily be distorted.

But KHalid Yasin was using the double entendre of brainwashing, He was talking about purifying the mind and brain, as opposed to cultish indoctrination. Two completely polar concepts.

I think Damir9000 is probably a good kid, he's just going through an identity crisis, in 5 years he might become a "WahhabiI .....*criinge*

I hope not, but these people who go through such reactionary moves, tend to go to extremes.

Also, as economist Kaushik Basu says: "For a nation to progress it is important for people to spend time on science, mathematics and literature instead of spending time showing that 5,000 years ago their ancestors did science, mathematics and literature."
