Out of curiosity. How come this forum has become a haven for non-muslims/ex-muslims/atheists/apostates??

I mean where are all the 'normal' everyday Pashtuns you come accross?? or atleast the mainstream common Pashtun. The 'normal' 'everyday' Pashtun I come accross regardless of his religious views remain respectful, tolerant and able to have a constructive conversation. Yet here the people seem abit bitter, foul mouthed, disrespectful and abusive. I know the Internet/hiding behind a computer screen makes people feel brave and safe but c'mon this is abit too extreme..

Statistic here of active members is something like 8 or 9 out of 10 members here are not Muslim. My question is why? Is it because in real life you don't have the opportunity to vent out your frustration against Islam due to fear/being scared? What is it..Why does this place attract you I.e the minority of blasphemes/Islamopheobes/atheists etc?? You might argue there are a hell of a lot of you guys in real life that choose to hide due to family and stuff, ok fair enough but you cannot deny that majority of followers of this race are Muslim, so where are they???

It's obvious. Ex-Muslims hate their past, unlike Ex-Christians who just move on with their lives, these ex-muslims still keep their identity associated with Muslims instead of just moving on. They're confused.

They provide great entertainment actually. Its really enjoyable to watch them squirm. They bring a topic up and are made to look the fool and then they go on to the next bullet point on the Rob Spencer website and so on and so forth.

A great number of these people are either the progeny of washed up commies who left int he 1980s or other crypto pervs that know that they are out of sync with 99% of Pashtuns.

In real life ex-Muslims would face torture and death or at least they would be sidelined. Internet is like a safe-haven for them.

Anyway Muslims are much more hardcore than Ex-Muslims. You want to kill those who leave Islam. Those who leave Islam don't give a sh*t about you. They just want to be left alone. Spot the difference.

Former Christians can live freely in their countries if they decided to leave their faith. Muslims would face death in the same scenario.

Ex-muslims have every right to be upset. You started it guys, don't b*tch now.

Except many of them are from Western countries where they do have the freedoms. If you actually ask a lot of these "ex-muslims", they're generally from western countries.

With all due respect but seems you have no contact with Afghanistan´s ground reality. There are plenty of ex-Muslims in Afghanistan they just don't dare to "come out of the closet" because you tolerant Muslims would kill them. Same thing happens in any other Islamic country. Even in a democratic country such as Turkey you would be sidelined by your friends and relatives. How do you expect them not to rise their voices? They have every right!

Maybe you should stop thinking that Pashtun & Muslims are synonymous.
There are many Atheist Pashtuns out there, just because they left Islam doesn't mean they are now disinterested with their culture/people.

Even Muslims criticize Pashtuns for abiding to Pashtunwali & Pashtun Culture more than Islam.

This site is called Pashtunforums, not MuslimForums.

Btw, I don't think you know what tolerance means. The Internet is the ultimate place for Freedom of Speech, you need to get used to it,

The reason why Ex-Muslims/Atheists act very brazenly is because they want to show others who are afraid to speak up that they are not alone.
Atheists will stop speaking against religion when Muslims stop doing Dawah & pushing their religion on others.

You can go read for yourself about what Ex-Muslims face once they leave the religion in the West or in their own country.

Seems like you never took the time to check.
Don't you know a lot of outspoken Atheists were former Christians?
They **** on Christianity all the time, they even have their own show.

It should be more like this in real life, people should have the right to be who they are internally.
We will have far less hypocrites. We should encourage such behaviour, why make others lives miserable, let God be the judge of all. Ofcourse there are sharia rules to be followed.in any islamic society, as long as the person is not breaking the rules, let them be or let them immigrate.

Many muslims are muslims because that is the predominant religion where they were born. They perform all the superficial rituals as that is the norm where they live and do so to conform to society they live in.

Unfortunately Islamic world is not ready for democracy nor for freedom. It will take us decades to take the next step. Non religious Muslims will be the collateral casualties of this age..

Yep, I've also heard of even Muslims in the West get punished and disowned by their family for coming out.

We don't need western style demoracy to cultivate such acceptance. It is inherent to Islam that there is no compulsion in religion and no one is forced to be muslim if they don't want. Quran is very clear when it says Mohammad's PBUH duty was only to deliver the messege and leave the rest to God. When someone says the shahada, it should be from the heart and sincere, what good is it when it is due to fear and just for show.and acceptance by society. The funny thing is muslims themselves encourage such hypocrites because of their rejection of others peoples true self so idirectly responsible for their actions. This all comes from insecurity on part of the muslims who fear such openness and freedom will.encourage others to leave the faith. Isnt the whole.point of faith that it is sincere rather than through fear and conformity?

Ofcourse it is not easy for everyone to come out and say they don't believe due to the narrow mindedness of muslims, people will lose family ties and be alienated from their own kin. Its far more convinient to live your whole life as a hypocrite muslim and carry that awful burden than come out and be sincere.
