There are many people from abroad that leave their parents' religion once they start to question what they've been spoon fed all their lives, I don't know why you're so shocked. Go on other parts of the internet sometime and you'll find many Pashtun, Punjabi, Persian, Tajik, Arab, Somali, etc. atheists. I've actually talked to quite a few Pashtun atheists outside PF. Mala Pakhto razi aw za Musulman na ym aw zma pashanti nor Pukhtana hum shte chi Islam e prekhudi de.

No my parents didn't abandon their culture. They tried to teach us pashto. I do understand some. I speak pashto with my parents.Originally posted by Manzareh View PostSee, both my parents were born in the west, and their parents came here in their 20's, yet me and my brothers all new Pashto before even English, why? because we had Pashtun parents thats why. Your types came to the west one generation ago fresh of the boat and adopted naval high chinos and floral ties to fit in with the white society around you.. See its not all your fault, you're parents were submissive insecure douches that abandoned their own culture and never had it in them to make their kids proud of who they are.. so what did they expect from their children but to have no identity and end up non-cultural kaafirs?? You see, you say 'i dont know pashto, so what' but its much more deeper than that, although being Pashtun is much more than just the language it still demonstrates alot of the upbringing and mentality of the individual in question (you) it demonstrates the mentality instilled in you - we are the dominant force wherever we are, move us wherever you wish but remain 100% secure about our identity, we dont get influenced or conform to the society around us to fit in, unless ofcourse your like those 2 good for nothing sellout parents of yours which gave birth to a mistake of a child that can't even speak a single sentence in our language and now an active Islamopheobe online. You know what, you aint no Pashtun, probly some Pathan saab wanabe that had some sort of distance relative 1000 years ago like the rest of your phony types, it's a recurring cycle here at PF; I'm a Atheist, I'm a Islmopheobe and GUESS WHAT i can't speak a word of Pashto LOL you come straight out of a comic book.
The afghan community is very small in Canada.
During my life, I found no use for Pashto, Farsi & Arabic and it is pretty hard to learn 5 languages when your a kid. I stuck to 2.
Nobody to talk to, nothing watch & read. So why spend time learning a language?
Unlike you, I am my own man. Not a slave of my parents.
And stop mocking Western countries. You live in one. You just sound jealous.
Go live in Afghanistan, you ungrateful douche.Last edited by Damir9000; 04-25-2016, 02:07 PM.

well its is small if you think that most PAshtuns will stick to their own Pashtuns, I know a lot of Pashtuns who dont even concider tajiks and hazara as Afghan. Becuase lets be honest most of us will just have superficial contact with them and no real friendship.Originally posted by Shamlawar Khurasani View PostAfghan community in Canada is small? Wow!

That's actually proof against your fellow Pashtun atheist. How can he not know any Pashto?Originally posted by Khostai View Postwell its is small if you think that most PAshtuns will stick to their own Pashtuns, I know a lot of Pashtuns who dont even concider tajiks and hazara as Afghan. I know tons of Afghans in Canada, TONS.......
Also, as economist Kaushik Basu says: "For a nation to progress it is important for people to spend time on science, mathematics and literature instead of spending time showing that 5,000 years ago their ancestors did science, mathematics and literature."

Similar stuff can happen overthere.
I would think that if you were serious about traveling back to Afghanistan, you wouldn't be so brazen about saying such confrontational stuff. I mean........especially considering what you already wrote would have been enough to be recognized by a family member and what not.

I am more concerned about my family knowing.
You may not think a tribe name is sufficient enough to identify someone and it is true to an extent.
But Tribe name + current location + home province + age + small history about me is more than enough to suspect that the person is your nephew or cousin.
I can identify my tribe.
I just don't feel safe saying it to other afghans who know I am an Atheist that criticizes Islam & Muhammad.
You don't care about being doxed but you care about being recognized by your family, and you've already given away information that would already put an hypothetical family members on red alert? I mean how many Waziristanis in Logar could there be?
I think you need to work on fleshing out a more believable story.
Good Luck on your trip to Afghanistan though, if you need body guards let me know.

Yes, I care about my family. I don't want my views to cause any tensions.Originally posted by Iblis_Efreetzai View PostYou don't care about being doxed but you care about being recognized by your family, and you've already given away information that would already put an hypothetical family members on red alert? There are a lot. We don't even identify ourselves as waziristanis.
Our tribe emigrated from Waziristan a long long time ago.
This is all just big Ad-Hominem attack against me.Last edited by Damir9000; 04-25-2016, 03:30 PM.
