mate u r just fighting with stupid people here .. its just they will never accept it .u dont have to waste ur precious time , they know the reality and we know the reality ,Originally posted by Khyber Pass View PostThere is still dispute on Pashtuns origins as a whole so there is no direct analysis available for what exactly the Pashtun people are, but as we can see from Past history and records by the Greek historians that there was a very similar tribe living in what they noted as India, with a similar name as Pactyans but like I said earlier there is not enough proof to prove that these nomads were the present day Pashtuns, and Pakistani Punjabi's are not all Indian, actually as an example the Jatts origins recently have been discovered to not be Indic at all. There exist many ethnicities in the Punjab, each with different origins, it's very sad to see a generalization on such a diverse population.
pashtuns have diverse looks but on the whole pashtuns are on average fairer than punjabis, sindhis, balochs, kashmiris but are less fairer on average than persians.
other ethnic groups have more darker colour on average as compared to pashtuns.
in my eyes baloch are similar to sindhis, no doubt abt that growing a big beard and wearing a big turban doesnt make the face hide. Sindhis on average have same faces like balochs but they dont dress like them or else they wud have been classified as balochs coz their cultures are pretty similar ,,
both dress in nomadic forms
both languages are pretty similar if u hear them
both people have similar kind of caps balochi and sindhi cap
both have mixed from centuries..
i dont know karachi dude has got some real issues as he is the one who has done the dna thing in which he mentions that sindhis are the most closest group to pashtuns but he denies his analysis just because he doesnt wana accept them...if he is reading can he just look at the dna table that he use to show us bfr..do u know what ethnic group does this karachi dude falls in ..

That tends not to happen as much. Because those Afghans are more parochial. When you're too liberal you lower your standards and lower your sense of self value. Extreme Liberals tend to have a really deep inferiority complex
I agree with Randolph on this, being too liberal is self destructive, maybe even more destructive than being a fanatic.. Not that I support either
He is no different than us,he blindly believes in the words of other men,:
Seriously though this is getting pathetic. Pashtuns don't like indians and Indians don't look pashtuns, go tell an indian person that and he will agree.
explain to us how can people who originate from an area which would have a lower average sun index to produce melanin fixation end up so dark. Your claim makes no sense in scientific terms.
He is no different than us,he blindly believes in the words of other men,:
thats because pashtuns ruled india numerous times and left cultural imprint.Originally posted by Khyber Pass View PostAlso the similarities I found Karachi were, "For generations, India has had a prevailing tradition of the joint family system. It is a system under which extended members of a family – parents, children, the children’s spouses and their offspring, etc. – live together. Usually, the oldest male member is the head in the joint Indian family system. He makes all important decisions and rules, and other family members abide by them" Happens in Pashtuns as well, "For centuries, arranged marriages have been the tradition in Indian society. Even today, the majority of Indians have their marriages planned by their parents and other respected family-members. In the past, the age of marriage was young, especially in Rajasthan, but this is rising with modernisation and there are now laws which govern the age of marriage"- Also happens in Pashtuns "Traditional clothing in India greatly varies across different parts of the country and is influenced by local culture, geography, climate and rural/urban settings. Popular styles of dress include draped garments such as sari for women and dhoti or lungi or panche (in Kannada) for men. Stitched clothes are also popular such as churidar or salwar-kameez for women, with dupatta (long scarf) thrown over shoulder completing the outfit. Salwar is often loose fitting, while churidar is a tighter cut."-Also Pashtuns wear this, and the similarities goes on friend.
you are looking at this the other way around. Even if there was hinduism in Afghanistan that doesnt mean it had to do with india or that afghanistan was part of india. it were the locals who practiced it and even the people in india held these "aryans" in high esteem. So what ever cultural similarities you see is because Pashtuns ruled india and brought their culture there. also the clothing , it was brought there by Afghans ,persians ,arabs and mughuls.
the name hind or hindustan was given to them by muslims.
india is most likely an english version of it.
seems like you have sort of bias ,to make us seem closer to indians.
btw Afghanistan is situated in southcentral asia aka heart of asia.
the map your posted it false and one shouldnt just google a map and post it since there are many who would make these false claims and maps.Last edited by ډګروال; 07-14-2013, 08:17 AM.

indian culture is simply the culture which is inspired by hinduism and about 80% of that country adhere to hinduism.Originally posted by Khyber Pass View PostSo I ask you again what exactly is Indian culture? Because I find many similarities between Pashtun and so called Indian culture.
offcourse most of that so called hindu or indian culture has been influenced by muslim who ruled india. be it clothes, food, and and many cultural practices.
many hindus also converted to Islam and nowadays among these muslims(indic muslims) you will also see some hindu practices.
so you can say that hindus have adapted cultural elements of outsider rulers and incorporated it into their culture and even religion, thats why we have sikhism (an offshoot of hinduism mixed with islam).
