Faye, I went through pain to be where I am right now. From cracking integrals that made me dizzy, to getting my behind owned in Physics(not the Physics for the poets, but the real deal, BarakzaiAbdali knows what I am talking about), to being expected to write 20-50K lines of code, working while doing the aforementioned, and pretty much getting tortured; that's how Engineering majors are I guess. So nothing is cosy, but the point people don't seem to get is, if you want to make it, no nation will give you a better opportunity in the USA. Unfortunately, European countries, Australia, Canada, Mexico, and other Asian nations just simply lack the resources, and the scale. You can attend school, get paid while you are in school, the government will help you, but everything is limited, not infinite. The nation isn't a welfare state like Canada. If you decide that partying till 3:00AM is better than being up all night to solve an algorithmic challenge in your code, than rest assured you will not enjoy living in public housing in the middle of no where with little to no benefits(the government does provide health care, and food, but you won't have a lavish life that Americans are accustomed to). If you do go through the 4-5 years of pain, then you pretty much made it. You can either A) Become an awesome doctor like BA, B)Become a scientist, or Engineer, or a laywer; you got my point.

    If people are looking
from what i read america scaled low in the health stats for developed countries. so why is that?
That's a lie. America has the best doctors, the best hospitals on earth. When an Australian catches cancer(God-forbid)the #1 goal is to rush him over to memorial sloan kettering in NYC(the best cancer hospital on earth). Australian hospitals, or European simply aren't on the same level. It takes a lot of work to produce the likes of MassGen and others.

Put it this way Faye, if you are educated, just about ANY employer(accept my challenge)will pay for your health care. But if you expect the government to pay your rent, food, (which they do) and everything else, then what that person needs is a welfare state, we have one next to us, Canada, or many other European countries.

i saw a doco, where a medical charity, that used to only work ouside of america, has been setting up tents and giving health and dental care to the poor, in america.
are you trying to say that america is totally perfect and all these reports, docos and what i saw, are lies, admin?
Unfortunately, nowadays, it's very easy for a young American to embrace Kim Kardashian as a hero, as opposed to other intellectuals. That, however, is an entirely different discussion.

The question is, why aren't Americans taking advantage of their own resources? Why are Australians, Asians, and Europeans coming to the USA to take advantage of the resources here instead? That's a different discussion, and I would agree that the youth has problems. Reforms are needed, but that doesn't negate what my 11-12 points that I raised. It is foolish, ignorant, and childish to say America has bad health care. American hospitals, and med schools, are on a completely different tier, producing world class doctors in world class institutions.

when i visited the states, i saw more beggars and street people than any other country i have been to, apart from india.
The USA has 50 states, 300 million, your generalization aside, poor might exist, the same way I am sure they exist in Australia. That again, doesn't negate what I say. The point I am making here is if you want to make it big, you can, with better resources than any nation on earth. If you fail, the government will NOT be kind enough to hook up with a free house, free food, free everything. You have to give, to get.

The men of Kábul and Khilj also went home; and whenever they were questioned about the Musulmáns of the Kohistán (the mountains), and how matters stood there, they said, "Don't call it Kohistán, but Afghánistán; for there is nothing there but Afgháns and disturbances." Thus it is clear that for this reason the people of the country call their home in their own language Afghánistán, and themselves Afgháns. The people of India call them Patán; but the reason for this is not known. so where is all the research about the harm being caused by d.u. and uranium munnitions? from what i have read, your government is still in denial that their toxic, weapons are harmful. why is it being done by a charity?

if you have all of this 'best of everything' why is america not a compassionate, 100% healthy wealthy country, that deals with the rest of the world as equals and use diplomacy instead of devious, brutal and murderous tactics for manipulation and domination?

i wish my parents would of migrated to canada instead of the US. i have only been to canada once but there are a lot of minorities there and i feel more comfortable around minorities. i am getting sick of american minorities, not sick as in i don't like them but i would rather see a ton of indians instead a ton of mexicans. it would be a nice change of pace lol plus i hate warm weather so the cold would suit me well.
There are people today who think that admitting God’s absolute greatness decreases the value and importance of humans in the creation, as if God and mankind are rivals competing in greatness and power. Meanwhile I feel that whenever our perception of God’s greatness increases, with it we become greater, because we are the creation of a great God.

Faye, that's a different discussion. If you go through my posts, I never mentioned the term government once.

That too, is a different discussion. If you go through my posts, I never mentioned the term government once. Foreign policies, how the aboriginal in Australia, the indigenous Australians were dispossessed of their land, despised for their culture, and marginalized, abused, and murdered by the invading whites, or how they did the same in the USA when they massacred red Indians, that my friend is an entirely different discussion. I am not too fond of such foreign policy discussions; hence my withdrawal.

They don't cover up everything, which country are you living in? They don't cover chiropractors or dentists or anything other than a general doctor. Like I said before, American healthcare will even cover your gym costs if needs be.

One can just see the difference in education here and how unchallenged these kids are. What American kids are learning in one grade, Canadians learn literally one grade later. Now it's not anyone's fault that Canadians have a low standard to begin with that's why there may not be any studies showing how they haven't "declined." Can't hit rock bottom if you're already at rock bottom lol
              Ouch. Hehe.

What people don't realize is that it's American high schools, that are producing the large chunk of American innovators, scientists, Engineers and doctors. I suggest such folks to take a look at the top 200 American high schools, and where the students end up at. Not all high schools are as productive, but that's the whole point, to improve the others.

i am talking about NOW. TODAY! what you braggarts are doing in the world with all your supposed superior everything.
what is the point of all this you are bragging about if it is not being put to totally constructive use, for the betterment of the planet and humanity?

talking about canada, as a 'state' just because it is smaller than america. you should not need to belittle others to make yourself look better.
i am suprised that you have that type of attitude.

                    Great logic!

However, majority of Americans cannot find Florida on the map. Pretty dumb right? Also Canada was rated at #6 on the education index while America was rated at 21.

Yikes! American kids need to crack open the books and start studying.

Wow i am the complete opposite. I'd rather be around Mexicans than Indians or pakis. We have way to many here.

Haha well that's true. I worked with this Indian guy before and when he found out i was afghan, he got so happy and jumpy because we share history together and that we are close neighbours. Indians just seem to love afghans in general, but pakis, boy they are something else.
