Mind you I feel myself a guest since it is known that I am not by blood Pashtun....but I used to come here more frequently, but now I do not come very often. Wali?Originally posted by tor_khan View PostKind of homing in to a thought I had.
OK, the question is: Waley??
Because the talk is full of revenge. If an injustice has been committed then to retaliate and do the same back makes us no different. The Pashtun I respect are more like Badshah Khan, so when I read a lot here about fighting and killing and such, then I just log off again....
I want to be here, not just here on the forum, but here in life to build bridges, not always tear them down. I want to see what we have in common, not what separates us.

Luffy, alluded to it. They're Pakistanis, and they're going to be found in Paki forums. Not only a female phenomenon, more Pashtuns males and females (referred to on here as Pakified - whatever the hell that means) are on Paki forums than this forum. Very narrow focus on this forum (in general). On top of the fact the Pak obsession and paranoia on here doesn't go down well. Guys might brave it, women simply won't put up with it. They're doing their part by emancipating themselves as Jinnah said Pakistani women must do.

Name 1 Forum that has more Pashtun members of Pakistan than PashtunForums itself. I understand that you as a non-Pashtun, would wish that was true, but the reality is far from it. Heck, PashtunForums has even attracted non-Pashtuns of Pakistan such as yourself and many others. We are one people, and it does not matter if a Pashtun is from Pakistan and Afghanistan. At the end of the day, we are one ethnic group. As Tor_Khan said, we are Pashtun/Afghan but this thread was for research purposes only. Oh, and he too hails from the other side of the line. :-)Even Adobe Photoshop can't change me.
A line[Durrand line] of hatred that raised a wall between the two brothers -Hamid Karzai
For generations, the Hindus of India prayed for deliverance from "the venom of the cobra, the teeth of the tiger and the vengeance of the Afghan."
The men of Kábul and Khilj also went home; and whenever they were questioned about the Musulmáns of the Kohistán (the mountains), and how matters stood there, they said, "Don't call it Kohistán, but Afghánistán; for there is nothing there but Afgháns and disturbances." Thus it is clear that for this reason the people of the country call their home in their own language Afghánistán, and themselves Afgháns. The people of India call them Patán; but the reason for this is not known. But it occurs to me, that when, under the rule of Muhammadan sovereigns, Musulmáns first came to the city of Patná, and dwelt there, the people of India (for that reason) called them Patáns—but God knows!

Not so long ago, from what I remember, most of our very active female members were from Pakhtunkhwa but for many reasons now, their participation has decreased. One, they literally exhausted every active and inactive topic, two, they've lost interest and perhaps and audience, and three, despite their frequent log-in's, they may be occupied in their personal lives.
From a personal experience, more than being knowledgeable in the subject matter, it comes down to the comfort level too, which is bound by certain duties and loyalties we take into consideration in our personal lives. For many, online and private-life experiences are kept world's apart, both in a positive and negative way, and for others, an online atmosphere is no less. For these few, their online participation too is a reflection of their personal lives. Women don't mingle here and there, are not supposed to, nor are they given the place in many environments. For some, breaking this barrier is difficult.

lol so you are satisfying yourself by calling it a lie. I did'nt talk about defence.pk, which is a military forum...i talked of general pakistani forums e.g paklinks...our bls was once an active member there..Originally posted by Admin Khan View PostThat's a lie.

I think the educated pashtun females who are allowed to use internet by their families, think that pashtun nationalism topics are too sensitive to touch and they are uncomfortable in discussing topics which usually ends up in bashing pakistan and pakistanis. Pakistan has infused this in our minds that regionalism is against islam and we are nothing but muslims and pakistanis.
I have come across many pashtuns who call names to bacha khan and call him traitor and i had to convince them otherwise. You people would be surprised that only ANP related people are left to praise bacha khan... You people should have watched the occasion of pakistan vs india semifinals in pakhtunkhwa, young pashtuns were chanting pakistan zindabad , many had painted their faces with pakistani flag... Theoritically they should'nt have supported their team, bt my friends reality is different. The match was available on big screen in our college, which was provided by pakhtun students federation.
Only me and shehbaz khan have stamina enough to read anti-pakistani stuff, others dont bother to even check it. But i have also said that majority of pashtun youth are wasting their times on mobile and chat in order to find a girl to talk with.
