    • [QUOTE=Luffy;385067] I have noted that compared to males, pashtun females are not so much interested in strictly pashtun topics. [QUOTE]

      EXACTLY, why is this?

You won't notice their "pashtuness" simply because they're not interested in it. Nor will you recognize their "pashtuness" because their identity is Pakistani 1st (or Muslim) and then ethnicity, or the fact that they won't be able to fully conversate in pashtu. They are ethnic pashtuns, Pakified. The issues in Pakistan are more interesting to them. Like i said, the pashtuns from Pak you get here are mainly nationalists and those more concerned with Pashtun "unity" than those that are concerned about their country, Pakistan. Some can brave the virulent hatred against their country, like Shehbaz and Luffy, most won't.
Once again, that's a lie. Our site here is dominated by Pashtuns who hail from Pakistan. You can repeat yourself over and over again, but you have yet to provide any evidence for your claim. I for one, have the evidence. I can name hundreds of Pashtuns from Pakistan who post here regularly. Many of whom I actually had the pleasure of meeting in person.

No one is denying you your ethnic links. Torkhan can say whatever he wants, and be from wherever he wants, he isn't a rep of the majority of Pak Pashtuns. You have a habit of reading way too much into internet personalities and what it translates to in real life. Simply stating that there are more Pak Pashtuns on Paki forums is a fact.

Seems like we get into this all the time.
Have you ever taken a intro to Logic course? How are you going to tell me it's a fact without offering any evidence?

PashtunForums is not only dominated by Pashtuns of Pakistan, but it has even attracted people like you, whom we embrace and have no problem with. I mean, the irony is that you, yourself, are an example of my aforementioned claim. :-)

A line[Durrand line] of hatred that raised a wall between the two brothers -Hamid Karzai

For generations, the Hindus of India prayed for deliverance from "the venom of the cobra, the teeth of the tiger and the vengeance of the Afghan."

The men of Kábul and Khilj also went home; and whenever they were questioned about the Musulmáns of the Kohistán (the mountains), and how matters stood there, they said, "Don't call it Kohistán, but Afghánistán; for there is nothing there but Afgháns and disturbances." Thus it is clear that for this reason the people of the country call their home in their own language Afghánistán, and themselves Afgháns. The people of India call them Patán; but the reason for this is not known. But it occurs to me, that when, under the rule of Muhammadan sovereigns, Musulmáns first came to the city of Patná, and dwelt there, the people of India (for that reason) called them Patáns—but God knows!

          • ^Isn't this forum about building bridges/having the chance to learn and pushing aside misconceptions?

How do we do this if we have such a low take up rate from a key section of the community?

Update: I should add Manzareh, you and me can only speculate since we are not female ...

One, they literally exhausted every active and inactive topic, two, they've lost interest and perhaps and audience, and three, despite their frequent log-in's, they may be occupied in their personal lives.

From a personal experience, more than being knowledgeable in the subject matter, it comes down to the comfort level too, which is bound by certain duties and loyalties we take into consideration in our personal lives. For many, online and private-life experiences are kept world's apart, both in a positive and negative way, and for others, an online atmosphere is no less. For these few, their online participation too is a reflection of their personal lives. Women don't mingle here and there, are not supposed to, nor are they given the place in many environments. For some, breaking this barrier is difficult.

EXACTLY. That is what I personally believe also. Like I keep imagining my cousins in pak and yeah i can show them this website and yes they would possibly come on here once or twice to be nice. But in reality they just would not care. Whatever time they do get and if they do want to get on the internet then they are going to go to a specific site for a specific interest. They already have enough on their plates.

I have already described the activities, prefrences and tendencies of pashtun youth in pakistan on internet in previous posts in this thread, cant repeat myself.
check your political, development and world affairs sections, many threads about back home are posted but many are not discussed at all while rest have one or two replies...dont worry it is natural because you people are not inhabitants of pakistan or afghanistan.
I am stick to my claim, it is a forum of pashtun dispora, it doesnt represent all pashtuns. I have no problem with currunt status of forum except when it is claimed that hey look pashtuns of kp are intense antipakistanis because bls, khyal, toramana, pir rokhan etc etc are antipakistanis. This forum is best for curing identity crisis in those who are raised in west but it cant be used as a mean to achieve serious targets like pashtun unity, loy afghanistan etc
Unfortunately even the creator of site, admin khan is failing to understand this simple point.
Compare to pashtuns in back home, you people are more knowligble and serious, i enjoy discussions here, thats it.

                              wrong.

you kind of made your self stand out in your post above saying pakstani pashtuns, why not just say pashtuns or pashtuns from pakhtunkhwa?
you pretty much labeled yourself as a paksitani. we have no need to do it.

Those afghans who are in pakistan are suffering people, they cant afford superiority complex. They are humble and are quietly earning in pakistan through small jobs. Unfortunately many are so poor that they send their cute kids to either beg or collect garbage...war has these kind of results.
Those who are in superiority complex are e-warriors here who have succesfully established in west , when they get bored then do talks on these forums and vent their frustration by insulting punjabis, tajiks or some time kp pashtuns. When they are asked to return back home then they are unable to do so. If you people dont want to come back then why you people are wasting your time on debating deep pashtun related affairs?
