democracy in theory sounds good but is now a double edged sword. the young people gaining an education are now aware of the deviousness and interferences of the west in other lands. so they have every right to be suspicious of the true intent of so-called, democratic nations. it is a totally undemocratic activity, to impose democracy by force.
i understand the improvements you yearn for and i hope they come to fruition but even people in democracies are questioning our own behaviour and wondering where are rights are disappearing to.
faye, we pashtoons stole the land from indeginous people as well, different tribes removed other tribes, just like the american indians did to each other. Thats how the world worked for thousands of years. The future however doesnot mean we should remain stuck in that. The american indians today are quite well off and living as equal citizens. Ups and downs are in all systems but that does not mean every thing is bad.

Be careful Faye lol, I am unsure of how Baygham will use his psychobabble to explain your viewpoint... I wonder which Pashtun tribe he will link you to and which wahabi mosque he plans to show us that you attend! Moreover, I believe he will be hard pressed to show your being raised in the US in a household that has indoor eastern salafi values and outdoor western values.

Cheers Baygham Khan Lala. You have a quandry here in our lovely Miss Faye.

Dont worry wrorre, I believe in your creative capabilities... you can do this!

My counseling chair is always open for you brother. If you were a taxi driver I wont mind losing you to whatever. But bro, it is so hard to get good solid education and worthwhile professional skills for pashtoons that some may consider it a miracle. But then to see those fortunate to land in that position go join the ranks of 'non well wishers of pashtoon", the heart does ache a little. But that is life and our misfortune, what can one do. Not to dangle a carrot in front of you, but life can be very fullfilling if one overcomes initial speed bumps from following a non conformist view. Remember our conformist views are to keep peace at home and not based on rationality. We are all in the same boat bro, I wont say I come from a line of rational super beings. Same 'jutt jahil pashtoon elders as yours". Conforming with them is to become them.

BTW, I dont know if Miss Faye has a quandry or not. I was just sharing with her a point of view.

My free consultations are only limited for my pashtoon brother and sisters (my area of specialization), for others I charge a lot. I know it is not very nice but one has to draw the line somewhere.

yes, that is not what i have been reading and it is certainly not the case for the indiginous australians. but that is a tangent from the democracy issue.

Have you met an american indian in your life. In the 21st century actually americans are linning up to be labelled as indians as that gives them a lot of free revenue from casinos and other wealth that other americans cannot claim. This by no means expunge what happened in the 19th century, but for the ones living in 21st it is a good deal.
I have not seen a single indian being denied a right because he is an indian.

Do you have a better system in mind?
I know we are not perfect in treating cancer, but we do better than 'blood letting' that was common as a panacea for everything a couple of centuries ago. Same is the case here, yes it is not everything, but what else is on the table.

And I repeat you cannot teach a born blind adult how to see even if you give them new eyes. The window of oppurtunity is only a few years. New research from india of all places does extend this window of oppurunity a little longer, but still these kids with restored eyes still cannot see anything like you and I.

a system where groups nominate a representative, who meet to discuss the future etc, has been used by many different people around the world. i think it is a good one. democracy, in the west has been derailed. no one needs a hypocritical, loud mouthed, arrogant country
like america to 'lead' them. the only place america is leading us , is up **** creek without a paddle.
no-one needs to be led. we need everyone to have respect and work together but america has these delusions of grandeur that no-one else but them, believes.
the actual system i mentioned above , is a good one, if it were done with honesty.

Has there ever been a power in the history of the world that has been content with what they had and not exercised power, if they had it.

I agree no one likes a bully. I dont and cant expect anyone else to either. The question is not if america is a bully, the question is who isnt.

With all that in mind and the extreme week position of the pashtoons when considering military might, we need collaboration of least exploitation.

Do you have any other options in mind for pashtoons.

Are you friggin Lex Luthor or something? What kind of alternative reality do you subscribe to?

So basically, in your reality occupied people do not fight occupation... they basically dig a pit, jump into it, and cover themselves up. What kind of psychologist are you? Yet then you turn around and argue that the nature of man is to conquer and occupy etc. So then the "nature" of the pashtun or the American Indian or the Aborigine is to resist. The nature of the Scotsman under Bruce and wallace was to resist. You basically pick and choose human responses that you want to see out of people and then deny them other basic human elements of response.

The question ought to be asked of you, how many American indians do you know? Do you know why you don't know that many? Lemme give you a hint to why folks in Connecticut don't see Wompanogs walking around anymore:

                        http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/King_Philip's_War

"The war in the south largely ended with Metacom's death. Over 600 colonists and 3,000 Native Americans had died, including several hundred native captives who were tried and executed or enslaved and sold in Bermuda.[1] The majority of the dead Native Americans and many of the colonials died as the result of disease, which was typical of all armies in this era. Those sent to Bermuda included Metacom's son (and also, according to Bermudian tradition, his wife)."

To answer your question of how many natives have we seen? Well, my wife was raised in the vicinity of the one of the nation's largest reservations and here are is the current situation:

                        http://www.airpi.org/research/Search...es/sjfalco.htm

To those of us that actually read up on news so that we stay up to date on those pesky things, called facts, that you and your ilk here avoid wanting to hear, we know about recent degradations of the Native Americans as well:

"The Jack Abramoff Indian lobbying scandal is a United States political scandal relating to the work performed by political lobbyists Jack Abramoff, Ralph E. Reed, Jr., Grover Norquist and Michael Scanlon on Indian casino gambling interests for an estimated $85 million in fees. Abramoff and Scanlon grossly overbilled their clients, secretly splitting the multimillion-dollar profits. In one case, they secretly orchestrated lobbying against their own clients in order to force them to pay for lobbying services"

Well Baygham Khan, bullys also end up getting sucker punched in the nose now and then too. So either be consistent in your ethical standards of human responses and the etiologies behind these responses or just quit trying to pawn of your preferences as something that make any sense.
What it comes down to is that there are your ideologies and the ideologies that the majority of pashtuns hold. Whether you like it or hate it, they will harnass that ideology to take on their own bully. So quit bitching and basically do what you are asking everyone else to do and actually become the student of human nature that you claim to be. Just do not study it selectively to what floats your boat.

You said see color. It turns out that the retinal design may be able to accomodate that.

I have met with american indian chiefs. I have not seen or heard of a single american indian up in arms against washington. I have never seen one express such sentiment. I have heard more whites wishing for nazi's to come back than I have heard or seen american indians voicing seperatist views.

Corruption is different than constitutional disenfranchisement. Billions are defrauded from medicare, used predominantly by the majority whites, is that anti white. Non sense.

When you compare things compare with equal. Dont compare women rights in saudia with female rights in chimpanzee groups. Tell us how the tor kafar were protected by kabul. Or how the still alive sur kafar in hunza will be protected when taliban encircle hunza in the not so near future. Tell us about that.

And if one hates america and it is so rotten, one should pack up and catch a flight to kandahar, help the needed there. Fight the americans and join the salafis.

initially i commented, after you were giving the reason why some pastoons are blind and have a quandry in their 'little heads' because you failed to mention how the reality of so-called democratic behaviour over this planet, may also be an influence. these negative behaviours would be mind- boggling to people trying to make decisions about the future of their country re; democracy or anything connected to the invaders.
no, i don't have a solution, because, at the moment i just see the whole invasion set up as a facade created by the government behind the government, in america and elsewhere. i believe america will stay in afghanistan for strategic and pillage purposes, under all sorts of illusive excuses.
baygham, i believe you have the best intent in mind, for your people, from what i have seen so far.
