  • The parts which are commands are literal, the part which describe God as a finite being or humans coming to being from some unnatural event are metaphors

    pretty simple.

where is your proof they aren't metaphors?

The Prophet (PBUH) would have mentioned it, in the thousands of Hadiths he gave. Or is everything just a metaphor? Even the Prophet (PBUH) mentioned creationism, but let me guess he was speaking in metaphors? Everything relating to creationism is a metaphor? Oh delusional one

Don't turn around the arguments, where is your proof that all those parts pertaining creation, is just a metaphor. Better yet, why are only the creation parts a metaphor? Are you just saying that, because you are insecure in your beliefs? Are you going to edit the Quran, and leave a special side note where you think god is speaking in metaphors, and not literal? Why did god just randomly speak in metaphors in those creation verses? Oh delusional one

A book like the Quran would not be written in metaphors by god to confuse the believers. Your the one who is confuse, as you read those science books, and want to connect the two. Oh delusional one.

      • See I understand your confusion because you don't know any Arabic. Arabic is different than other languages, we can know by the way the sentence is written what would be a metaphor and what would be literal just by the way something is said. This is why people were so amazed when Muhammad(saw) recited the Qur'an because they understood what he meant with metaphors.

That's how we know the creation of humans is a metaphor. In Qur'an it says "He isn't like anything" (Surah Ikhlas) but the creation verses says God made with his hands, but he cant have hands because God said directly he isn't like anything. Also in another verse he says he created all living things from water. So clay reference must be metaphoric.

very easy, it only confuses people who never read the Qur'an fully, which I guess is what happened with you.

That is according to you. If it was written in a metaphor, more people would say that "creationism is farcical", but they do not. You are the only delusional fart, who actually says those verses are metaphors.

Congrats, for being an A Rab, but the Quran is universal and not only meant for A rabs. So the part being an A Rabic metaphor is farcical.

Please let's get some more people here, so they can read your delusions.

          • that's not a logical argument, Most people, who are Muslims dont follow Islam properly, this doesn't mean Islam doesn't teach it. ;yOur argument is called "Argumentum Ad-populum" Which is a logical fallacy that says popularity is proof of correctness. This is known as false.

Qur'an is universal, but it i written in Arabic and therefore it's language and linguistics are Arabic

so actually your understanding is faricical, not arabic

                • Here's the verse

Sahih International: It is He who has sent down to you, [O Muhammad], the Book; in it are verses [that are] precise - they are the foundation of the Book - and others unspecific. As for those in whose hearts is deviation [from truth], they will follow that of it which is unspecific, seeking discord and seeking an interpretation [suitable to them]. And no one knows its [true] interpretation except Allah. But those firm in knowledge say, "We believe in it. All [of it] is from our Lord." And no one will be reminded except those of understanding.

Pickthall: He it is Who hath revealed unto thee (Muhammad) the Scripture wherein are clear revelations - they are the substance of the Book - and others (which are) allegorical. But those in whose hearts is doubt pursue, forsooth, that which is allegorical seeking (to cause) dissension by seeking to explain it. None knoweth its explanation save Allah. And those who are of sound instruction say: We believe therein; the whole is from our Lord; but only men of understanding really heed.

Yusuf Ali: He it is Who has sent down to thee the Book: In it are verses basic or fundamental (of established meaning); they are the foundation of the Book: others are allegorical. But those in whose hearts is perversity follow the part thereof that is allegorical, seeking discord, and searching for its hidden meanings, but no one knows its hidden meanings except Allah. And those who are firmly grounded in knowledge say: "We believe in the Book; the whole of it is from our Lord:" and none will grasp the Message except men of understanding.

Shakir: He it is Who has revealed the Book to you; some of its verses are decisive, they are the basis of the Book, and others are allegorical; then as for those in whose hearts there is perversity they follow the part of it which is allegorical, seeking to mislead and seeking to give it (their own) interpretation. but none knows its interpretation except Allah, and those who are firmly rooted in knowledge say: We believe in it, it is all from our Lord; and none do mind except those having understanding.

Muhammad Sarwar: It is God who has revealed the Book to you in which some verses are clear statements (which accept no interpretation) and these are the fundamental ideas of the Book, while other verses may have several possibilities. Those whose hearts are perverse, follow the unclear statements in pursuit of their own mischievous goals by interpreting them in a way that will suit their own purpose. No one knows its true interpretations except God and those who have a firm grounding in knowledge say, "We believe in it. All its verses are from our Lord." No one can grasp this fact except the people of reason.

Mohsin Khan: It is He Who has sent down to you (Muhammad SAW) the Book (this Quran). In it are Verses that are entirely clear, they are the foundations of the Book [and those are the Verses of Al-Ahkam (commandments, etc.), Al-Fara'id (obligatory duties) and Al-Hudud (legal laws for the punishment of thieves, adulterers, etc.)]; and others not entirely clear. So as for those in whose hearts there is a deviation (from the truth) they follow that which is not entirely clear thereof, seeking Al-Fitnah (polytheism and trials, etc.), and seeking for its hidden meanings, but none knows its hidden meanings save Allah. And those who are firmly grounded in knowledge say: "We believe in it; the whole of it (clear and unclear Verses) are from our Lord." And none receive admonition except men of understanding. (Tafsir At-Tabari).

Arberry: It is He who sent down upon thee the Book, wherein are verses clear that are the Essence of the Book, and others ambiguous. As for those in whose hearts is swerving, they follow the ambiguous part, desiring dissension, and desiring its interpretation; and none knows its interpretation, save only God. And those firmly rooted in knowledge say, 'We believe in it; all is from our Lord'; yet none remembers, but men possessed of minds.

Do you even know what this verse means? No one knows its true interpretations, but god. Now we have old Scimitar who knows the interpretations, up in par with all mighty god. Lol, the middle part of theverse is talking about people like you.

Also! Where is the evidence that the verses about creationism is a metaphor?

                  • the verses about life coming from water show that clay verses are metaphors

the middle part of the verse is talking about people like you, since you're trying to create fitnah. The last part which says "none will understand its meaning except men of understanding" refers to people like me who study and have broad level of knowledge

Your the one who is trying to interpret the verses with a unique perspective to it. Your following the ambiguous part, do you read?

LOL, you belief you are a "man of understanding" in way of the message? All admit maybe if it was a school class, but this has nothing to do with the university.

You are not reading the middle part. You are guilty of searching for it's hidden meanings (By way or science), BUT only god knows it's hidden meanings. I am not searching of it's hidden meanings, nor am claiming that I know.

                          Wake up dude.

I proved my point, the Qur'an has allegories and it's not all literal and also it's possible to determine which is not

You lost this debate.....Leonine is right, you're not smart enough to debate me.

Where have I claimed I know the true meanings? Saying evolution is real, while creationism isn't is acting like you know what god knows. Which you don't.

where as my attitude helps Muslims progress and grow and develop.

                                So it refers to you.
