There is a difference between an apostate who leaves Islam because he/she no longer genuinely believes in a God, and thats the end of it. And those who leave Islam, work against it or undermines it, sides with those who are considered enemies to Islam.

In the later case, is it completely irrational to kill such an apostate? Wouldn't it be logical for any ideology, to save it's interests by taking care of such treasonous characters?
