Ok your last post clarifies things for me, so I would like to apologize if I was rude or if I insulted you. Please accept my apology, I was under the impression that you were accussing me of saying something which I did not say.

I would like to also add that I am not an Islamic Scholar, but I do know the basics and If I am wrong I would like the other PF members to correct me.

As far as the prostution goes, the ones that willfully do it have no respect for themselves and they are doing something that Allah has forbidden , so if they have truelly submitted their ego and individual will to allah, they would not be doing it.I would say they are ignorant that they do not know what they do, that they should be guided to the right path of respecting themselves.

I have said that Shah rukh khan is not a muslim because he has idols in his house and he is telling his children that it is ok to worship the idols, he is violating the first pillar. He has not submitted to Allah. I wouldnt call him an apostate because he himself said that his parents didnt raise him to pray which is a violation of the second pillar. I dont think he was ever a muslim but I dont know his history so I am speculating. And He himself has not delared himself leaving the religion. As far as calling him an apostate, I wouldnt go that far.

As far as killing apostates goes. The Quran says that there will be sever punishment for the apostates in the afterlife. It does not say anything about killing them. But there are schools of thought that recommends it on certain grounds for a male but not a female. Some scholars say that when a muslim man leaves Islam during war, it is punishable by death because it would be a form of treason. Then there are other scholars that say if a person wants to leave Islam, he/she is free to do it.

Actions nullify Imaan. Imaan is belief in the heart, speaking the shahadah and actions of a Muslim. If a Muslim owns an idol in his home and worships it and teaches his children to worship idols then obviously his imaan is nullified.

Only people who deny that actions nullify imaan are Murji'ah. Murji'ah are a group of Muslims who commit "irja". That is, to deny the disbelief of people who obviously display their disbelief in actions that nullify their faith.

I have heard that Quran expects a Muslim to only marry a person of the book i,e. a feelow Muslim, Jew or a Christian. But for one second pause and think about it. Can that be acceptable? Should religion eb the only determinant? Shouldnt character be a better determinant rather than "a person of the book"? Shouldnt a pure hearted Hindu/Buddhist be a better person to marry than an evil Muslim/Jew Christian (assuming)?

if the person is evil, he can not be a muslim, as far as a good hearted hindu/ buhddist goes. How could an idol worshipper have a better character than a person that has submittted his ego and will to allah. this is our law... we have certain laws by which we abide... the matter is clear... A marriage 2 a non jewish/christian/muslim woman is null and void according to Islamic law
