I find it healthy that there are some among the Muslims who are able to think outside the box. Bravo!

As for those who are calling him a non-Muslim, did you know that within Islam every sect has condemned the other to hell. What is with you Muslims? Technically speaking, there are no true Muslims out there. One sect claims to be true Islam then another condemns them and claims to be true Islam. That sect is condemned by another, so on and so forth.

What is refreshing is that there are some people who can think straight. Let people be. I myself have studied Islam and find that it is a very tolerant religion. Perhaps, maybe the problem is: "I am holy than thou?"

Dreamer, I dont question your faith, but tell me are we all following our faiths, the way we are supposed to or the way our holy book says? A 100%?

If not, then I dont think we get to point fingers or judge anybody.

I am not to say what is and what is not Islam. However, what does it matter if he calls himself a Muslim? How will this harm Islam? How will this affect your faith? This is the dilemma why you Muslims are so divided.

Dreamer, may be he just 'acts' in front of the idols. May be he doesnt really pray nor believe in the 'power' of those idols but takes part in it as his wife's a Hindu and he wants to see her happy. How are we to know?

as a muslim the mere act of keeping such statues violates the 1st pillar.... the very core of the faith thus taking u out of orthodoxy and in2 the folds on non islam..... his marriage by the laws of the religion is invalid..

So, are you calling him a non-Muslim because he is keeping idols in his home?

Is that what makes someone a non-Muslim in Islam? Is there anything else that would nullify one's Islamhood?

Violation of the 1st pillar is shirk.... kind of explains itself

Yes, what else nullifies someone calling themselves Muslim?

I am asking you guys, as Muslims, to guide us. How can others come to terms with you Muslims when you people can't even sort out your own issues?

How do we judge the context and intentions when Muslims, who call themselves Muslim, are thrown out of the fold of Islam by Muslims, who call themselves Muslims. No one else is condemning you people out of your own religion, you are doing it to yourselves.

What benefit do you Muslims get by throwing each other out of their own religion?

Like I said before, they are forced to, allah forgives acts that are beyond your control. When there is an automobile accident and someone dies, nobody calls it murder because it was beyond your control, there was no intent. Islam is submission to allah, allah has 99 names, look them up and your submssion is to the meaning of those 99 names. Jihad is the effort you make to fight the injustice in your heart. Actions are important since your heart guides your actions.
Shah rakh khan has not submitted to allah, therefore you can not call him a muslim by definition. His actions tell me he has not.
