You don't have to be a Muslim to be heard. Not every Muslim has something good to say. Our nations leaders, many, if not all, are Muslims too. What good have they said to our people, what hopes and confidence have they instilled in our youth? If anything, we're going in a downspiral day in day out. There are ways certain things need to be addressed and unfortunately, in his case, religion can't be at the forefront of his messages. He is trying, that is commendable.
On many occasions he have said he is a Muslim. He is trying hard, let's appreciate his efforts. He has no reason to lie about his faith, he is quite rich.
I don't think it comes down to his faith either. He is someone who made it to the top from scratch. That in itself is a lesson for someone willing to learn. We, on the other hand, will bad mouth anyone who doesnt wear Islam on their sleeve. Islam does not equal beard, hijaab or niqaab or extremism as many like to think nowadays. The longer the beard, the more the knowledge. The longer the abayah, the higher her rank on the modesty meter. That makes no sense. Islam and being a Muslim starts on the individual level, on a spiritual level, within yourself. Nowadays, if I can say, beards and hijaabs and the like are more identity driven. Undoubtedly, we do it for the pleasure of Allah, to obey another one of His commands, but at the end of the day, our intent is the fact that we want to be recognised through them. I am in a constant battle with myself everyday, not because I feel self conscious of the fact that I observe hijaab, but because my abayah says a lot about me that doesn't suit me as a person. Many a time I've been approached with the 'you're a very knowledgable person, rasedele' kind of attitude, when clearly I am not. Almost as if I am trying to make a statement about myself, when I am not. People begin to have expectations, and often, we find ourselves not being able to live upto them which, in my opinion, leads to hypocricy.
I am not a great fan of Shah Rukh's films but I appreciate the way he puts his points across. And I think its wrong to call him a non-Muslim just because he doesnt practice it the way people expect him to. Everybody should have the right to practice his religion the way one wants. His wife's a practicing Hindu and he's said that he has given the liberty to his kids to choose their religion. It takes an intelligent and secure man to do so.
In other words, I don't know why I just called him a kafir. Iforgot the hadith of the prophet SAW that said to make 72 excuses for people, go take ur shahada again, you never know, you call enough Muslims grave worshippers and kafirs.
what is the issue with you wahabia? why do you love to call ppl kafir? does it make you tingle inside?
He's more of a business than a Muslim. Secondly, he's committed shirk. You can see the last video Shamla posted.
I remember one of his other videos on terrorism and Islam. Believe me even a kid would understand that he was just saying nonsense. None of the things he said in terms of religion made sense. He tries his best not to harm his star image even if it means turning a little away from his religion.
Some people are drawn to figures that are on films playing a role of a hero or someone that has done great things. What has he done in real life. He lives among the poor showing off his wealth to make the poor feel more misery than they already are experiencing. He knows very little about Islam or Hindism because he doesnt make his money that way. He is in the business of having an image that the ignorant masses envys wishing they were like him or were with him in some way.

So its a crime to be rich in a poor country? Even though you have attained it by hard-work, determination and intelligence? I dont get that logic. And its not like he's fooling the poor masses who wish to be like him. He just acts in movies. People should cut him some slack.

Im not saying it is a crime, and I wouldnt say he is that intellegent, most actors ever are, he is just an actor and dancer but no singer or poet. My point is that actors are given more respect than is due to them. I didnt mean to disrespect you by disrespecting your idol.
