Secular laws are not barbaric like Sharia law, in fact some times they are too light, for example I think in some cases there should be death penalty here for killers. Also Secularism doesn't interfere with other people lives, like muslims do in the muslim world. A christian can't even go to a church in Saudi Arabia, so called people of the book.
