Do Jinnat exist?

That's a challenge. I discussed this issue on facebook too. There was a mullah who warned me that the jinns will harm me. I told him I was not afraid of jinns because I was sure there were none and I challenged him to send them and let them harm me. Also I told him that if the jinns did exist, they may have been able to read all these forums and discussions. So if they have some ghairat, they may show themselves on one of these forums. None showed up. May be they are sleeping or busy in lavish parties.Originally posted by gulalai View PostBring a Jin for us and prove it!
Also, I knew a mullah who claimed that there were about 4000 jinns under his control. He was a staunch supporter of shaira punishments. And he said the jinns stole lot of things from the people in the area. But he never said that the thieve jinns should be punished and their hands cut.Last edited by Guest; 07-01-2010, 07:03 AM.

Qur'aan and Sunnah indicate that the jinn exist, and that there is a purpose for their existence in this life, which is to worship Allaah Alone, with no partner or associate.
So i mean hereby to say that there is no use of disscussion as dere existence evidence available in Quraan and you can find allot of dere stories from ahadees.
and Allah Knows better.

I think it is wrong to say (and it is a typical rhetoric of the ignorant mullahs) that the Holy Quran is a scientific book. It is purely a religious book and better we keep it in that category. If you think that it is a scientific book, why then none of the Companions of the Prophet invented anything? Why did not they invent the aeropalne? Why did not they invent the computer and internet? Why the muslims had to wait centuries until the kaffirs invented all these things? The Haqqani madrassa in Akora Khattak is able to produce hundreds of suicide bombers every year, but why it is not able to invent a single software? And why they use young children in suicide attacks instead of inventing a war technology?Originally posted by AnGaaR View Post^ science is nothing in front of Quran. Actually science is getting much of its info from quran so therez no need to look @ jins or jannat with the scientific point of view.
Is science capable to see our Roh? No it cant..
Its already mentioned in quran in surah Jin that jinnat do exist
we cant see them
There were some Muslim-born scientists in the earlier centuries who did great works in science, but keep in mind that the mullahs of their time did not consider them muslims because they believed that science was against Islam. For example, Imam Ghazali, who was the biggest mullah of his time, did not think Ibn Rushd was muslim. There are many other examples.

Well, according to the religions, that was the purpose of everything created in this world - to worship Allah. Now human beings are sent books, prophets, and they have been part of the entire system of this world. They have been going through a long process. And our mullahs tell us that the jinns have to follow the same prophets and books that were intended for human beings. Why? Why there are not jin prophets?Originally posted by aftab.yusufzai View PostQur'aan and Sunnah indicate that the jinn exist, and that there is a purpose for their existence in this life, which is to worship Allaah Alone, with no partner or associate.

In the current situation, they have to believe in Islam, and in that case they have to follow everything in Islam, in which include wearing burqa (for female jinns), helping your muslim brothers, doing jihad against kaffirs, and other things like that. So why they just enter bodies of human beings and diturb them, while don't help in anything good with their brothers in Islam?

Quran is a book discussing moralities and if any scientific invention cannt be proved, it does not mean that Quan is wrong or deficient. To bring every discussion to Quran is not a good approach. For example, if we just say Allah know better, then why he gave us this mind and thinking power to evaluate, analyse and question.
Again will qoute Ghani Khan>
Khodaya walay de da walay taqat rako
Khodaya walay, Khodaya walay, Khodaya walay.
This reasoning power is given to develop. Allah Himself ask the human being to think, analyse and then decide about wrong and write.
My humble request to all the members especially these Mullahs will be to reason, not to destroy the discussions.
Othrwise we will leave the forum.
And when you address the ignorant, then just say peace be on you (Al quran) and will say good bye.

I agree with your points, but I think it is not a good idea to leave the forum. Let the mullahs say what they want to say. If they were able to reason on issues like this, they would not have become mullahs. So don't expect too much from them. And I think they still have the right to say whatever they believe in. Please don't leave the forum.Originally posted by erlangner View PostQuran is a book discussing moralities and if any scientific invention cannt be proved, it does not mean that Quan is wrong or deficient. Here are some curious Hadith about the Jinn.
"The Prophet PBUH was informed by a tree about the arrival/presence of the Jinn after they heard the recitation of the Quran."
The Ayah (الَّذِينَ يَدْعُونَ يَبْتَغُونَ إِلَی رَبِّهِمْ الْوَسِيلَةَ الخ) is about the people who used to worship the Jinn as deities, the Jinn converted to Islam but these un fortunate sorry souls didnt accept Islam.
Abu Daud:
The Prophet PBUH informed the companions to prevent their children from going out in the evening (Maghrib and in some Ahadith Isha time) because that is the time when the Jinn spread out in the land.

Erlangner wrora!!! No! You will not leave this forum and neither will any other sensible being. (Yes, I consider you and some others here sensible people.) Let's not be here for the purpose of changing anyone's minds but for educating others as well as ourselves and for learning something from them, especially from those who have differences with us.Originally posted by erlangner View PostSo I think, we should leave this forum to these long beard and black turbans and then to enjoy their logic with each other. Hhahhaha, and some of them have beard in their belly like Imran Khan.
If you think we should leave just because the religious threads of PF are at the moment being polluted by certain individuals, then Pukhtuns will be in danger! We clearly learned NOTHING from our recent war and the tortures that Mullah Jaan has cursed us with. It is up to well-educated Pukhtuns to do something about this and to remind our people that extremism of ANY form is unhealthy -- extremely unhealthy -- for our people as well as for the entire world.
There are times when you just have to let the religious extremists have their "logical" (illogical, of course) discussions because they just won't hear anything logical from a logical mind. In that case, yeah, okay, just let them entertain you. But don't LEAVE because of that!

The Islamic concept of the Jinn is quite detailed, though it needs study as any other subject for people to really get to know it.Originally posted by Nadir Shah View PostErr...I am quite confused. What is the point of the creation of Jinnat?
God has ordained cycles of life for this earth. After each cycle is complete, it is then perished. Human being are actually the fourth sentient mortal beings to walk this earth. The Jinn were the third.
Millions of years ago, they were the pre dominant life on earth when us humans were not even existent. The planet then with its vegetation and animal life was nothing like the earth of today.
The purpose of the Jinn is the same as that of us humans. A test of this life, and by your own actions you'll prove what you have gained and what you deserve. If it is as God wants you to, he will grant you an eternal life with his majesty and if not, then......
However, the Jinn were not completely annihilated like the two species before them, but some of them including the Devil himself were left by God's ordainment. The end purpose of that as we see it now is a test of temptation for humanity.
I have always wondered how a world without the evil whispers of the devils and temptation would look like, and I know it would have been a complete paradise.

The topic is:Originally posted by Nadir ShahHow do you reconcile the above with Taqdeer and Ilm e Khuda? One the same note, why take this test at all? Why not live eternally, alone on your high and mighty throne? After all, Allah does not need anything? Why did he design this whole test thing?
Do Jinnat exist?
For obvious reasons you dragged in:

The reason why you dont get a reply to some of your queries is a small part in that very para I quoted from you, read it below:Originally posted by Nadir ShahYou sought to prove the existence of Jinnat by assigning it a purpose. I questioned the validity of the claimed purpose, meaning that I question the existence of Jinnat. Isnt that the point of the thread? Or was it to copy/paste Surah ye Nisa and get it done with?
Seek a debate, dont derail and deride. That is the basic minimum of a sane discussion.Originally posted by Nadir ShahOr was it to copy/paste Surah ye Nisa and get it done with?
