Burn it bro, what are you so scared for? All your debates you attempt to proof your the most intellectual Muslim in the world, while others are inferior to your brain.

You went out of your way saying that you will burn the book, are you really firm in your beliefs? If you really belief that the book isn't important, then proof it. You'll get my respect, and i will reread your arguments since you have extreme faith in them.

If dont burn it--your just a attention-seeker who wasnt going to go through with it; just wanting to get a reaction.

^ kais, even if he does burn its all for attention-seeking.
& for the record, i would never respect someone who burns the quran even if it was to prove a point. Just any misuse of the Quran let alone burning it is a sign of disrespect to islam and to every Muslim. Any point that needs to be proven by burning the quran shouldnt be worth anyone's time here

People have made the pages, the binding and the link that the words are printed on as more sacred than the words themselves. Before there was a physical copy of the Qur'an; people learned it by oral recitation and memory. The entire Qur'an had no binding or paper; it was something spiritual, in cased in the epicenter of nature itself. It was only put down on paper long after the words themselves emerged into our worldly reality. The Qur'an does not need nor ever needed sheets of paper to be real, it exists beyond the physical world, that is the true Qur'an

So what difference are people who think of the physical copies of the Qur'an as a sacred object than people who hold the Qur'an over peoples heads during a wedding?

I'm not doing this for attention; but I am doing this to teach the Ummah a powerful lesson. that we must abandon dogma and reawaken to truth. We must shake these shallow minded vestiges and be stronger, we can't let these kufar intimidate us or aggravate us and the way to do it is to shun the idea that the binding and pages of that the words of the Qur'an are written on are sacred.

I will initiate the video with a statement of Niyyah, then reciting du3a al thana in praise of God and durood for our Prophet. Then I will give a brief statement in Arabic, Pushto and English.

. I will use a purely Arabic copy of the Qur'an and use kerosine and a stove lighter to ignite it. I will allow the video to run until a significant portion of the Qur'an is burnt.

My Youtube Account is MutazilliTajdid, I will keep everyone updated as I want more people to join me on this.

You can make your point in various ways, burning it is counter-productive, and a self-defeating measure that will result in nothing but an uproar -- given the sacredness of the Holy book. You might be up to a good, logical point, that the words should be revered more than the cover -- but I think your approach might be a bit too extreme. Burning any book is unacceptable, and if we have to burn something to make a point -- then that act in it's self speaks volumes. It shows that we, as a society, are nothing but failures. We have to resort to violence, or fueling fire, to make a basic point. So whilst I agree with the notion of showing the world we aren't overly sensitive, I strongly feel as if we can achieve the aforementioned by educating ourselves with proper etiquette of debate as opposed to showing the already ignorant bunch that we can burn it better than you can. By stabbing Muslims in the heart, one will ultimately add the real fire to the already burning sensation. I mean, as you can see people are ready to listen. You made your thread just about 10 hours ago, and thousands have already viewed it. The platform is available, it's just a matter of utilizing it and doing something productive.

A line[Durrand line] of hatred that raised a wall between the two brothers -Hamid Karzai

For generations, the Hindus of India prayed for deliverance from "the venom of the cobra, the teeth of the tiger and the vengeance of the Afghan."

The men of Kábul and Khilj also went home; and whenever they were questioned about the Musulmáns of the Kohistán (the mountains), and how matters stood there, they said, "Don't call it Kohistán, but Afghánistán; for there is nothing there but Afgháns and disturbances." Thus it is clear that for this reason the people of the country call their home in their own language Afghánistán, and themselves Afgháns. The people of India call them Patán; but the reason for this is not known. But it occurs to me, that when, under the rule of Muhammadan sovereigns, Musulmáns first came to the city of Patná, and dwelt there, the people of India (for that reason) called them Patáns—but God knows!

He may not burn it because you said this

It's not just any attention, it's the attention of women that he so desperately craves so much do that he will burn the Quran... which does not belong to us, but to Allah(swt)

He is not Muslim by the way

Scimitar, I interpret your intention as a dialectic rhetoric - meaning there is logic in the value of niya, the oral words and actions when it is compared to worship of the paper or script and your appeal to burn is to draw attention not to yourself but to Muslims who are reacting back home.

I hold the quran, the text, the papers, with deep respect. Our old homes had special recesses in wall, especially above doors, to place the Quran. We have covering to keep away dust from the Quran. We handle the Quran with respect and dignity.

When I look at script from the Quran, in forms of flowing Kufic or the square Kufic, apart from reading the text and understanding the message from Allah(swt), I also admire the calligraphy and the love and devotion placed by other muslims in writing the words of the holy Quran so beautifully.

Scimitar, there is a lot of infathomable spititual value and respect and ceremony of reverence laid with openning the Quran, in turning each page.

I am stressing your point has been made abundantly clear without resorting to burning the quran.

If you wouldn't respect me for burning a physical object, something inanimate and lifeless, which in itself has no soul, never grew , never breathed (unless you count the tree which the paper came from, but you get my point). Then I wouldn't want your respect anyways because you don't worship God, but worship paper, you claim it would be a disrespect towards Islam, but fail to see that turning a copy of a book into an Idol, makes you now a Pagan.

so I wouldn't want the respect of a Pagan. thanks

In Afghanistan if there is bread on the ground, no matter how stale it is or how dirty it is, an Aghan will pick it up and put it somewhere above the ground.

It is done out of respect. Respect for those who do not have access to such food, respect for the fact that it is a blessing from Allah (swt) and it should not be left on the ground but should rather be used to feed the birds or the dogs.

That does not mean that the Afghan worships the bread.

We as Muslims don't burn holy books whether they are Torahs, Bibles or the Qur'an.
Why? Out of respect. Respect for what lies inside the book, not the physical book itself but what it signifies, just like with the bread.
                    That is not shirk ScimitarXEdge.

Your intention may not be to insult Islam but burning something that symbolises Islam though its meaning ..... well its not rocket science that it may not be interpreted by most as you wish it to be. Even here, most people do not want you to burn the Qur'an.

I think you should really think over what it is you are planning to do. Burning the Qur'an really isn't necessary to make your point.
Just like how I say to certain members here in their online discussions that insulting others really isn't necessary to make your point. Sure it may add some emphasis to whatever point it is that you wish to make but I can tell you now, it will not reflect well on you.

I understand your points, I really do. But you also have to understand the full implications of what your actions show to others who may not have the same thought pattern as yourself (and there are many).

In the end, it's up to you to do what you want.
You don't need my approval. Only Allah (swt) knows what your intentions are. It is He who will judge you for whatever action you take, my judgement means little, so do as you wish.

If you do decide to burn the Qur'an then you would not have my support (what ever little that may mean).
                    ---
To advise others is an easy matter, the difficulty is accepting advice -- since it is bitter for those who follow their
                    own inclinations and desires
                    .

well in general I am, but when people model their attitudes on others by such shallowness, I speak to them in terms they understand most.
