I will burn a Qur'an on a Youtube video in the Near Future

Even though I am a Muslim and I respect and revere the Qur'an; I have found Muslims themselves forgotebt the Qur'an is really about. People have made the pages, the binding and the link that the words are printed on as more sacred than the words themselves. Before there was a physical copy of the Qur'an; people learned it by oral recitation and memory. The entire Qur'an had no binding or paper; it was something spiritual, in cased in the epicenter of nature itself. It was only put down on paper long after the words themselves emerged into our worldly reality. The Qur'an does not need nor ever needed sheets of paper to be real, it exists beyond the physical world, that is the true Qur'an


So what difference are people who think of the physical copies of the Qur'an as a sacred object than people who hold the Qur'an over peoples heads during a wedding?

I'm not doing this for attention; but I am doing this to teach the Ummah a powerful lesson. that we must abandon dogma and reawaken to truth. We must shake these shallow minded vestiges and be stronger, we can't let these kufar intimidate us or aggravate us and the way to do it is to shun the idea that the binding and pages of that the words of the Qur'an are written on are sacred.

I will initiate the video with a statement of Niyyah, then reciting du3a al thana in praise of God and durood for our Prophet. Then I will give a brief statement in Arabic, Pushto and English.

. I will use a purely Arabic copy of the Qur'an and use kerosine and a stove lighter to ignite it. I will allow the video to run until a significant portion of the Qur'an is burnt.

If there are better ways I am definitely open to suggestions; but I also want Muslims to realize we're not "bound" to some Physical object, we're bound to the content, the words, those things have no physical format. They're from God himself.

There are some nutcases true; but if more and more Muslims realize it and join along it disempowers the Kufar who use burning the Qur'an to degrade and humiliate us; if we abandon the idea that the physical Qur'an is most important, then they lose this power over us.

And for the nutcases ......if I'm the ONLY one I am in danger, but if there are thousands of us, they can't get us all.

Maybe you can make a video just demonstrating your point without burning the Quran. Just give your reasoning as to why you feel the burning of the Quran doesn't mean the message of the Quran is lost or that its a great insult. I think it might be more productive rather than burning the Quran yourselves as it might be counter productive. You will lose sympathy very quickly and even people such as myself who agree to a certain extent with you turn away. Follow the advice of the Quran and call to the way of Allah (swt) in the right manner.

I think when some non muslim burn quran it's out of utter disrespect for Islam, their intention is clearly evil and sinister, they hate Islam to death. In the case of afghanistan, this is what is it exactly about. First they occupy your land and show utter disrespect for your beliefs, I would also be pissed in that situation

Over all I know what you are trying to say though, that Quran's words are the important part not the book itself, but again like I said, these people who are burning the Quran world wide, their intention is totally against Islam, they hate Islam and muslims

As for burning of the quran, why would you want to do such a thing? You want to burn Allahs words? It is there to be read and to be taken in not burnt to prove a petty point.
