I think you are underestimating the evil nature of kuffar minds, brother.

Your dad nursed you and fed you, provided you food and shelter, the words of the Qur'an are like your father as the heart of the universe pivots on those words, but come on not the actual physical pieces of paper itself. a father deserves much more respect than this.

Also remember, for historical precedent that Muwaiyah's troops hoisted gazelle skin pages of the Quran onto spears at the front of the army to strategically

        1) Give Ali the possibly false message that there needed to be a meeting of the minds and a shurah over this conflict

        2) Use the Quran as a shield as Ali's troops were extremely hesitant to attack the Quran even symbolically.

Also Abdullah ibn Masud was very loathe to part with his mushaaf when Othmaan asked for it.

Finally, internal evidence used by Azimi and others points to the Quran's early written record in the Prophet's time. While some commentators have interpreted surah Abasa's verses figuratively, others have noted that it is an early example of internal evidences of the Quran's being in a written form in the Prophet's own life time. The suhuf (i.e individual pages) are are called honored exalted and purified. So internal evidences from the Quranic text itself indicates that the book demands a respect.

you people have reduced Allah(swt) to just being an extension of your own pathetic character, and that's especially true in your case
are you sure you are a muslim?

Humans have ranges of emotions, thats why even the most upright and literate person across cultures may get aggressive if someone insults his mother or wife. So why would I try to prove a point by doing so?

I think Muslims are the same way. Just as literate Dr. Paul may be offended but not driven to take action physically, perhaps more emotionally driven folks would throw a punch. But if am an academic and smart and went out there to get a rise, then I should estimate the range of emotions and not complain when the most likely of things occur.

Heck John Lennon recognized that he endangered his band mates in the southern bible belt when he said the Beatles are bigger than Jesus. Folks threatened Ringo Starr as far north as Canada. Lennon subsequently said he should have stated what he was trying to say in a less offensive way.
Why would Ron Paul do anything? If it is not illegal to do it, piss away.

The people that will get offended I can guarantee will be the illiterate rednecks who will chant out Usa usa usa.

The baby represents the copy of the Quran and the father in this massalaah. I meant that the Muslims that annoy you are the bath water. Simply direct them to the verses of the Quran where it discusses exchanges that occur with polytheists and others and how it indicates that if we see our religion being mocked, to walk away from the gathering to not escalate. Or point them to the hadith that indicates a mark of a hypocrite is the one that violently argues a point in a manner that does not behoove a Muslim.

This whole thread proves he is not

To say he will burn the Quran. It's like he gets a kick out of it

I understand these events, but just like everything in Islam there is a great deal of subtle context. For example, The Banu Quraida were executed, but was it because there was some intrinsic animus towards Jews? No, it was because they would keep relentlessly trying to persecute the Muslims.

we know this, and similarly while I don't know the full details of this event. I am a believer that care people took care of these manuscripts was because they were rare pieces of documents and if the huffadh died and such items were destroyed there was a chance for these items to be lost..

I can respect that, but now it's become a blind sacrament. We're no longer people of Tawhid, but people of iconography.

Clearly, I'm the only one who can see through your game, except maybe Alchemist too. Even the people who spent a lot of time discussing with you are not sure.

You can do that by going to a webpage where the Qur'an is on. You don't need a mushraf to do that.
