The point is you are maybe lucky to escape the hands of the believers, but you shall never escape the wrath of Allah for sure the wrath of Allah is upon such people.

It is not the burning it is the meaning what these people wants us to understand, and this we have seen when hitler did so and in the past when the romans did so.

And for sure you want attention, otherwise you would have not informed us and did it in a cave or in the back of a goat and never upload this video on youtube.
High achievement always takes place in the framework of high expectation.

People have made the pages, the binding and the link that the words are printed on as more sacred than the words themselves. Before there was a physical copy of the Qur'an; people learned it by oral recitation and memory. The entire Qur'an had no binding or paper; it was something spiritual, in cased in the epicenter of nature itself. It was only put down on paper long after the words themselves emerged into our worldly reality. The Qur'an does not need nor ever needed sheets of paper to be real, it exists beyond the physical world, that is the true Qur'an

So what difference are people who think of the physical copies of the Qur'an as a sacred object than people who hold the Qur'an over peoples heads during a wedding?

I'm not doing this for attention; but I am doing this to teach the Ummah a powerful lesson. that we must abandon dogma and reawaken to truth. We must shake these shallow minded vestiges and be stronger, we can't let these kufar intimidate us or aggravate us and the way to do it is to shun the idea that the binding and pages of that the words of the Qur'an are written on are sacred.

I will initiate the video with a statement of Niyyah, then reciting du3a al thana in praise of God and durood for our Prophet. Then I will give a brief statement in Arabic, Pushto and English.

. I will use a purely Arabic copy of the Qur'an and use kerosine and a stove lighter to ignite it. I will allow the video to run until a significant portion of the Qur'an is burnt.

My Youtube Account is MutazilliTajdid, I will keep everyone updated as I want more people to join me on this.
My friend, I would ask you to reconsider.

There is a sahih hadith cited by many in both the orientalists and writers that discusses the prophet's behavior for copies of the Quran. Its cited by both sides, including Burton and Azimi to show the existence of mushaf's for proselytizing purposes in the Prophet's own era. In the hadith the rider of the horse is told by the Prophet to protect the mushaf from the enemy so they dont desecrate it.

Also, I think that there is a baseline respect for religious figures and books if all backgrounds that we ought to provide. For instance, the Quran tells the Muslims not to mock their Gods so that they do not revenge mock.

"Yahya related to me from Malik from Nafi' that 'Abdullah ibn 'Umar said that the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, forbade travelling with a Qur'an in the land of the enemy. Malik commented, "That is out of fear that the enemy will get hold of it."

Pay close attention to Maliks affirmation of the tradition and Bukhari upholds it.

Burning as a symbolic gesture is entirely different than respectfully disposing of worn out Mushafs or as Uthman did when unifying the Ahruf.

You'll just arouse the illiterate Muslims.

Pity them, ignore them, leave them alone.

I dont think its an issue if illiteracy or literacy. I think many literate people would be offended if I went to DC and burned a copy of the constitution or the flag because its meant to incite emotion (though the academic might say its meant to arouse thought). In general when people undertake these actions they ought to think about the fact that in general the world is filled with people who:

          1) Have an opinion
          2) Another group that holds the opposite opinion
          3) A small group without an opinion.

Generally, it appears to me that these appeals are to:

Rouse those that hold the same opinion as you to become more vocal + desensitize those that hold opposite opinions as you to your own + gain the support and galavanize that small group in the middle to join the first group.

Instead, I think such actions further galvanize both for and against groups and the people in the middle just shrug their shoulders and stay out of the fray thinking a bit more clearly that the first group shouldnt have instigated said action and the second group should have ignored the said action.

Its basically like debating with an old timer over whether its reasonable to assume that "telling your mother you hate her" is worse than saying the word "s-hit." He may agree, but he still views cursing as cursing and forcing the issue is foolish.

Also, as per my reference above, if SXE's appeal is to the original nature of Islam and what it was, then I think its perfectly fine to have the discussion over whether thats an accurate opinion.

I pity you. Just because you want to prove a point your gonna burn Allah (s.w.t) words???? The Quran is not your book or any of ours. It is not yours to burn. Allah (s.w.t) is the protector of his own book and i would like to see how you overpower him. Burning our holy book doesn't make you a man and notice i said our because it will never cross a believers mind to even touch the Quran without wudhu and ur talking about burning it Astaghfirullah. Wake up and realize the truth. Just because you know arabic doesn't mean that you can do watever you want. By doing this you are doing nothing but drawing attention to urself. Fear Allah and make istighfar. May Allah guide all of us.

                you are a complete idiot.
First of all the Qurans that were burned at the baghram base were not intended to agravate the muslims. They are having a huge headache from the protests all over the country, that would be counterproductive to their goal.

Second the people that do it in the US or other places are just ignorant and really have no point. If they hate the Quran or its message than they should debate on why they disagree with the message. Burning it solves nothing, it is no solution. You think that you could change the world by burning the quran and explaining that it is the message that is important and not the physical book itself. People are emotional and when your playing with peoples emotions, you are actually countering your own point.

Some, but I am fairly certain if I went to Ron Paul's drive way and did human bodily functions on a copy of the constitution even a very smart elderly statesman who defends the first amendement would be offended. Humans have ranges of emotions, thats why even the most upright and literate person across cultures may get aggressive if someone insults his mother or wife. So why would I try to prove a point by doing so?

I think Muslims are the same way. Just as literate Dr. Paul may be offended but not driven to take action physically, perhaps more emotionally driven folks would throw a punch. But if am an academic and smart and went out there to get a rise, then I should estimate the range of emotions and not complain when the most likely of things occur.

Heck John Lennon recognized that he endangered his band mates in the southern bible belt when he said the Beatles are bigger than Jesus. Folks threatened Ringo Starr as far north as Canada. Lennon subsequently said he should have stated what he was trying to say in a less offensive way.

Im pretty sure you are a Hindu

To say this to prove a point is utterly ignorant, and only someone who has no regard for Islam would do this.

and it looks like your getting your frustration out here because that "young lady" you were pursuing rejected you. Thats why your back and active on PF since you previously said you were devoting time to a "young lady." HAHA

Oh Kundhal come on, You don't care about respecting Islam, you idolizes the pages and physical objects rather than Cherish the words themselves. That's one of the most disrespectful thing there is If you really realized what you were doing, you'd realize your views are closer to Hinduism than mine are. if you knew what the Prophet came here for to stop associating partners with God

as for whatever else you're saying; don't project your failures onto me, unlike you and Afghanistan2010 and similar people like you, I actually like and respect women, not hunger for little boys like you do

Since when were Wahhabis ever believers? everyone hates you , even Allah, Allah(swt) is not some childish, obnoxious spoiled brat who gets upset at things which have no relevance to the purpose of life.

you people have reduced Allah(swt) to just being an extension of your own pathetic character, and that's especially true in your case

I guess you didn't actually read my motives for burning it did you? That's what blind dogma does to people. Motivates them to act out of emotional than contemplation.

Badmash Khel, you were reasonable and spoke reasonably, without emotion and with sensibility.

But these people WORSHIP a Physical Book, they made it an IDOL. This is exactly what I detest about Muslims; how they mock others but idolize objects and symbols more than the Hindus do.

I'm sorry, I retract my agreement to concede, I will have to burn a Qur'an now and everyday, I will print out pages from the internet off Qur'anic verses and burn it to; until people learn to stop idolizing inanimate objects.

Reference hadith above in regard to the way the Prophet viewed copies of the Quran. So once again, I dont think secondary scripture supports viewing the Quran on papers as your average book you can prop your feet onto. Just as I respect my father, but I dont worship him, I can afford the Quran (and other religious texts) that same modicum of respect. Would it be reasonable to give one's dad a beat down if one was worried about him becoming an object of worship?

In another respect , such an approach is not sunnah as the Prophet understood the symbolism of things to the people when he discussed alterations to the Kabah. He told Aishah that even the Sahabah generation was too close to the era of paganism and that he knew it would make them uneasy if he rebuilt a large portion of it. Therefore, he only undertook a smaller project.
