why aren't you suffi then?

MOST PPL ON THIS FORUM?who are they ?

If you don't know something, it does not mean that it does not exist.
Do you think Sufis walk around with a pin "I am a Naqshbandi" or so?
Do you think that on youtube you can find everything about Sufism or that hey record their practices to show them off?

There are certain ziorats/places in Kabul, and even going there and ask a pir if he is a Sufi, he would say that he doesn't know what you talk about. Maybe after few months of regular visits you could hear something more. After next few months you could witness some practices (some pirs would never agree anyway). It requires patience and humility.
Sufism is hidden from ignorants. Only insiders know the places of rituals and practices. Some places are naturally hidden, like caves (also not far from Kabul) or simply private houses.

You are talking like a European reporter in Africa watching half-naked primitives with lip plates and telling us how it is wonderful and how their customs are great.

Nobody is fooled. There is nothing great about it.

Those people are just blindly following the practises of their forefathers. They are just doing what they do because it's socially acceptable, because their only goal in their lives is to reach the status of 'Maulana' and being respected by their community. I'm sorry but that's the truth. The very thing of ranking muslims according to the rules they created themselves is corrupting their minds. That's how human nature works.

This is for the least worse of them. Most of them have a wrong 'aqida. Their Tawheed is deeply corrupted : they bow down (sujud) to humans, they say : "may "Maulana X bless you" (AHUDUBILLAH !) which is pure Shirk ! Also it is well known that there are many Pantheists mushrikeens among them.

I'm not saying that all Sufis are like that but among them, those are the people who clearly went far away from Islam.

Also, sufis call their masters "Saints". Only Allah SWT knows who is a Saint ! The Saints are hidden and most of the Saints don't know themselves that they are Saints. And all the people who let the others calling them 'Saints' are proud and arrogants.

I won't recognize them as "Saints" before you give me a legit Islamic source from Kitab or Sunna that grants them this status.

Why are they lying about the fact they don't know what you are talking about when you asked them : what is Sufism ? Isn't lying forbidden in Islam ? Why are they hiding and why are they refusing to show to people what they are doing ? Are they not supposed to share the message of Islam to other people ? Is there something precious the average muslim can't see ? Was the Prophet hiding with Sahabas and refusing contact with other people or was he living among the community and enjoying what is good and forbidding what is evil ?

Because you can't just BE a Sufi; you have work hard and develop your soul and your Irfan.

also I have some criticisms about Sufi practices too; BUT I respect they focus on Spirituality and developing their Akhlaq

The only hypocrites are people who support the Taliban; they go around killing other Muslims, which is true nafaqa

well why would you ppl hide from what ? why not show us what you ppl got ?
why do you all the other sects do your things privately? why do you ppl hide your deen even in islamic countries? from whom ?

why do suffi, shia, ashari and mutazila...etc don't tell you about thier sect/mazhab and be with you telling you about religion...?

why is the only sect is us who don't hide any thing from the rest and walk on this earth telling them all he's a muslim got nothing to hide, while you ppl got lots of things to hide...?

i know about you suffis i got many suffis friends who i never knew they are suffis....i was young and i was sometime praying with them they got some weird movies too. when i knew they were suffis ma friend told me he's/they are not a hardcore suffis and don't do the act weirds in the videos...i know other suffis who are saying the suffis in pakistan india and egypt are ignorence and they are putting our sufficim to ignorance we don't act like them and they are shouldn't be called suffi's.

do you think i don't know anything about the crazy dancingg, about the dream Vision and about the imam lie's to suffis ppl.

its an advice to you, read about the wrong things suffi's do/say and then you can avoid this things. its for your own good sister....

i didn't say suffis are kafir's becuz not all the suffis are the same...but there are some act's could make you out of islam.

What about shrines of saints in Afg, like for example Shrine of a Mia Jee sahib, somewhere in Nangrahar? This place is known from healing. In that shrine grand grand children of Mia Jee sahib write تعویذ and give them to seriously ill people. These pieces of papers have to be kept on certain part of bodies for some time... I heard that seriously ill people, after one week of staying there, are able to to go back to their homes on their feet.
There are many places like this one, many shrines and many people who go to the shrines. What would you say for that?

I condemn the practise of all of them. What I said is that there is no doubt that some of them are muslims. That's why I say "most of them"... But the ones who bow down to humans, the ones who give divine attributes to humans are not muslims, they are just as muslim as an hindu.

I say that modern science has proved that this is completely stupid.
I also say that you should learn more about the essence of Islam.

Islam is the contrary of Superstition. Allah SWT has forbidden fortune telling, gambling, playing with divination arrows...

Islam =/= Cultural Practises.

That's true. I won't say the contrary. It's indeed a cultural practise. The problem is that it has nothing to do with Islam.

Female genital mutilation is a also a cultural practise in Egypt and it has nothing to do with Islam.

Because not every incomer has pure intentions. Most of "visitors" would picture everything in skewed way (this is what you can watch on youtube).

They are just showing what they are doing. There are no special effects. What is shown on youtube is exactly what they do.

hmm sista why don't you read some of the books i would tell you about in fiqh/aqeeda and you then can make sure you knew everything rightly and make the right decision.

not when you see what also quran say about it and not when allah put the light into your heart to see the right way inshallah....you also can think by your brain after reading the views and books which one is more right and more into real islam.
