wrong ....Originally posted by ozymandias View PostYes -- macroevolution is large scale changes in gene pools, either through one large change, or compounding out of microevolutionary changes, or smaller changes.
Both micro and macro evolution have been observed scientifically.
first of all, your statement is absolute gibberish.
the gene pool is always changing! Ever heard of the Hardy Weinberg principle?
What is "large scale" suppose to mean anyway?
And show the evidence for macro evolution if you are sincere.

That's not necessarily true. You are basing this off a 3 minute youtube clip that didn't even have that many generations of the bacteria -- and only cited *ONE BACTERIA STRAIN*. Pretty damn small sample size.Originally posted by Alchemist View Postlet me put it to you like this...
Anti biotics is a human creation. If world war three hits and we stop manufacturing anti biotics, then these drug resistant bacteria will be no more...and the natural strain will flourish again ..and then we rebuild our labs and remanufacture the same anti biotics we won't observe "drug resistance"...
Keep it up long enough, and it would.
Basically, the anti biotics selects for one type of VARIATION of the species...
its like you can only kill white sheep but not blacks, so blacks will flourish... that is not an example EVOLUTION - change of one species into another...
THE MUTATIONS ARE NOT REQUIRED TO BE OPTIMAL FOR ALL CONDITIONS. THE CONDITIONS ARE NOT ALWAYS GOING TO REVERT.
if that were the case...then the "drug resistant" strain will survive even after we stop using anti biotics for a long period of time...
GET IT?
Sorry for the caps lock -- you keep ignoring this point.
I think it is you that is ignoring the fact that your 'proof' has been debunked repeatedly.
get it?
No you just don't want to get it.-------------------------------------------------

What is the definition of "species"?

what is the definition that you're using?

Anyway, it's late, and I think you have plenty to look over, and you may need some time to re-read these posts to figure out where you went wrong. I'll post more tomorrow.-------------------------------------------------

Well genius. that is a list of "Species"...some of them are hybrids of the same species....it's like giving me a list of dog types - doberman, pitbull, chihuahua.....
So really...you are being deceptive here.
yeah.... And then posting a link to talkorigin...the bible of every atheist. Classic move.

see that wasn't so hard...
Ah..you are finally ready to learn. This is where it starts. Once you learn what a species is, then you'll see how bogus evolution is.

TalkOrigins Archive: Exploring the Creation/Evolution Controversy
I just checked Talkorigins; not a single thing there that promotes atheism or has any philosophical debates regarding religion or the existence or non existence of the supernatural

Except these are not all the same species -- in fact, by definition, they are all *DIFFERENT* species, since they are all documented cases of specialization. What -- you are now asking us to post examples of specialization -- but cannot use closely related species? This is nothing like a list of dog breeds -- dogs can all mate with each other, and are all the same species.-------------------------------------------------
