Why would India want to destroy Pakistan and destabilize it's eastern border? Do they look that stupid to you? Pakistan is not even an economic challenge to them anymore, its not even in their ballpark. They are now a regional player, they are more worried about China than Pakistan.

Any further destabilization can engulf the entire region into problems, that means that if eastern part of pakistan is in problems, there will be agitation, further war and that could slow down India's economic progress. Do you think they will sacrifice that?

And the second part stands as it is, India is far stronger economically than Pakistan, and moving up, its most likely contender is China (though they won't be at par).

Bls you will laugh but i suggest you to read mutala pakistan... Indo-pak tensions are not because of race in economic progress, it is ideological. India is surely competing with china but strong pakistan is not in interest of india.
For understanding indo-pak enemity, you have to read 1000 year history of subcontinent , even watch their movies or literature.To ensure that these nations wil keep fighting, british create kashmir problem.

Master Khan Kashmir is a MAD situation, if you say India must destroy Pakistan for it, Pakistan will have to do the same. They each have an irrational position towards it.

Jodigul, you are missing the point peera. This isn't about hindu-muslim tensions that go back to the british or mughal times. It is about the strategic interests now. And even if they are biggest enemy, the reality is that India is economically more stronger state. Economics is a key part of policy.

The problem is not always other people, it's our thinking. We Pukhtoons on both sides are dying to be accepted by non-Pukhtoons and we can kill our own Pukhtoons in order to make a so-called good status or whatever crap. What we need is stop caring about others, stop thinking what others think of us and stop trusting people so easily! Pukhtoons are at times so simple that they look complete idiots and I can't even blame education for this because most educated Pukhtoons I have seen prefer either Urdu over Pukhto, or either Dari over Pukhto. My people seriously need to grow up!

This is an Interesting topic, and what I think is, The western Media, along with the Governments policies is causing all of this.

Why?

Western Media: They never show the Pashtun side of this issue. The only thing I read on news is how many casualties the U.S suffers a day, and the bad conditions they go through.

Policies: All I can say is, Government: "Continue War, and more troops coming"

Hello:

Guys what we are seeing here is no constructive debate is happening as the topic is not being discussed properly .

MY idea about The Troubles in Afghanistan is as follows:

Americans won't leave untill 2011.

They will Install a govet that would serve their purpose.

Indian penetration would destroy AfPak Relationship as Indians would love to Target Pakistani Assets Inside Afghanistan in order to gain control.

Afghans according to surveys are loyal to Pakistan and not to India.

Indian investments in Afghanistan may seem charming at this very stage but i believe that this "Baniya" will end up taking up the whole afghan economy which equals slavery.

Now Here is My solution.

Pakistan and Afghanistan Must form an alliance and greater cooperation that Afghan markets can get access to Gawadar and Karachi sea ports.

Pakistan must keep working for Long lasting peace in Afghanistan for the greater good of Afghan people.

Both Countries must agree on Military and security issues and form a joint Task force immediately.

Pakistan Must use its Influence on Taleban leaders to convince them to come to
table for negotiating the core issues ie security and Economy and Power sharing.

In the end most important is Pakistan should take Afghanistan under nuclear umbrella that No one can attack Afghan people in future provided greater steps towards stability in the country.

My Brothers and Sisters Pakistan is a Big Brother to Afghanistan and it always will be , We do love Afghans and Do not worry about those stupid jokes what people crack on the streets as those idiotic faces even crack jokes about Quaid E Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah R.A.

No joint security arrangements with Pakistan. We don't trust Pakistan and by god never will. We dictate most terms of the indian investments.
