So dont bother quoting me next time if you cant carry a proper conversation without being rude.
why not? what problem do you have with me quoting you? is there something you wold like to change? or does it feel like a slap in the face? don't worry, you make a few other points like and i would make sure to avoid you for the rest of my stay here.
I am no bird, and no nest ensnares me.
non commercial would cost less if he was in charge himself which he plans on doing. right now it's n herat but soon it will be in qanadahar.
Please dont fight.
Pakistan is not country of only punjabis. when Afghans (citizens) call pakistan as punjabistan, they are indirectly making fun of pakistani pashtuns.
Urduspeakers r not punjabis but still they r more developed than punjabis and others. Rural sindhis are more backward than pashtuns.
pakistan= punjab+NWFP+Sindh+balochistan.
A specific ethnicity is advanced because their people are progressive and vice versa.
Samima I think you did touch on a important point, or a few important points, although watandaarae your wording kind of turned some people off. I wouldn't even call Pashtuns 2 class citizens, more like 3rd or 4th. They have virtually no real political voice, and those few groups that do speak for Pashtuns and speak for their interests tend to be dampened out by a few khakis in the higher ups of army or intel, or the likes of Nighat orakzai, Amir Maqam, Rustam Mohmand, etc. The list is big of so called pashtuns, who have never backed a pro-pashtun policy. Having said that, its not as if the so called nationalists were any better. I mean there are a few worthwhile moments, but as a whole they are on a losing battle. Partially it is because they have lost that dynamism that was there in Bacha Khan's Khudae Khidmatgar, and also due to the islamabad/pak establishment's view towards them.
In Afghanistan, pashtuns are no better. However, being the political and ethnic majority, its as if you can ignore half the population. So at the end of the day there is more hope there. Let us wait and see.
Now leave me alone and let em enjoy the thread, Keep it moving.
and my problem is with oblivious autocratic swindlers like you. you wont enjoy blank until you learn to digest on the likes of me...it's not like that will happen any time soon.

That is exactly my point. I guess I rephrased it in a bad way. I am trying to say why are you so defensive of the army and pakistan's agencies role (i.e. why do you defend them?). Better yet in your introductory post, why did you ignore that? They are very guilty and have tacitly supported talibs in malakand division and Pashtunkhwa. Their role in Afghanistan was very destructive and as a result we Pashtuns are suffering. I hope I am clear.
Yes your more clear now. First, Id like you to watch this video my Bro. Its quite long, but please take your time, it answers your questions.
Guys,
Pakistan is a 3rd world country like Afghanistan. We have problems, I admit Pashtuns are discriminated against but we are improving, we really are.
It is not really an issue of poverty. That is something we all can understand. However, we are talking about the policies of the state institutions, primarily the army and intel agencies towards Pashtuns/Afghans both lar and bar. There is a major difference in what Pakistan agencies have put forward as their policy goals in Afghanistan and what is in the interests of Pashtuns. In my opinion, pakistan's interests of strategic depth and countering India have directly and negatively affected Pashtuns.
I have seen this video. If I were you wrora, I would think twice before posting Hamid Gul. This guy was ex ISI head during the soviet-Afghan war, and he was among those wonderful brothers of islam who were part of formulating a destructive policy towards Pashtuns both east and west of the durand line. He may have some things that are fair points, but overrall people like him were part and parcel of the destruction of Afghanistan and Pashtunkhwa. Hairan yamm wrora chae tha da Pakhtano daasae naamee dukhman ao duniya jahaan corrupt sarrae anzoor daltha tsenga post kae. And it does not answer my questions. As I said their strategic interests run contrary to ours...their policies might as well dig a grave in our region and bury pashtuns one by one. Oh wait, that is happening already.

Im getting the feeling that you think Im a Fan of Paksitans governments role, but really, Im not. The only reason Im backing the Army is:
1) They have rid my home of this dirty Taliban Cancer
2)I have family serving in Pak Army
Before I say anything else, da Afghan taliban sta khwakh di aw ka na?

Pakistan army and intelligence helped create this mess. Contrary to the propaganda of ahmed qureshi or zaid "lewany" hamid. Your second reason answered my question :-).
Also before I answer the question of Afghan taliban, are you going to tell me they are fighting foreigners, and are mujahids unlike the RAW/MOSSAD backed TTP?
