The men have to as well, from the belly button all the way down to the bottom of the knees.

In regards to the thread questions:

I am against national teams for women simply because it almost 100% will end up on television which is broadcasted to billions of people in the world, I've seen guys turn to the female sports programs specifically to ogle at them and "check them out". Another main problem with these national sports for women is that the dress codes are not so decent, they wear super tight clothing and really short shorts as shown in tennis etc. The majority of the world couldn't care less about female sport, but watch it for "pleasure".

It is definatly in a womens place to play sport, there are many positive reasons, to avoid health problems, keeping fit and strong which in turn has many benefits. I hear of the religious girls here specifically having their own halls hired out with no men present whatsoever and they are free to play as they please. Playing all kinds of sports like the men do, football, tennis, badminton and even swimming.

Simply put men and women aren't supposed to interact in general(unless we have to), leisure and social basis, whether we like it or not. Females can be coached by females, I wouldn't have men coach women even if they are fully covered.

I would never allow my sister or daughters(inshallah if I have any) to participate in public, as the reason haris stated, I can't stand 1 guy looking at any of the females in my family let alone the millions ogling too! But they are free to participate in their own sports with other girls privately.

Islam is given to us as a way of life, to stay within our boundaries and keep away from what is haram. For every rule that is given to us, there is a solid reason for it. I used to question why boys are not allowed to interact with girls(and vice versa) or why we are not allowed to eat certain foods. Though alhumdulillah we find out now why we are not allowed to.

Men and women have been given different roles in life, but both are equal and have their privileges. Before you pull out the unfair card, there are many men who are so besotted with themselves that they end up undergoing a "gender change" but still they cannot be like a women. We are how Allah has made us. But I honestly don't expect much from a society which has been fed nonsense for many years by the likes of hollywood and bollywood. How people should be "free" and "liberal". Is it any wonder why corruption is so common and widespread. One major common thing between us is that both are commanded to worship Allah.

No offense wrora, But you do boxing right? Dont you feel that at times a female is in the audience, Muslim or not, but she may also see you in your attire, or whatever it is that boxers wear.....its usually no top, right? But i just want to know that what goes through your head sometimes. I know it is not in your control if women do attend your matches or not.

The male human body and the female human body are created differently. I havnt been in the ring for quite a while now however when i did used to my dress was Islamicly fine. i can assure you if i had breasts i wouldnt be in the ring

Who cares whether your impressed or not? Men and Women are different in which other simpler way can one put this fact across to you?? If a women is walking down the streets of london,new york,france not dressed in way which covers her breasts shes more likely to get attacked/abused than a man doing the exactly same. why!?!? think about it. thers other millions of points aswel from a non religious perspective of why women and men should cover up differently.

you come from a society with certain views, you people cannot comprehend Muslims not agreeing with your views or way of life so you impose your way of life and views on them. In fayes society its perfectly normal for the parents children to be committing fornication. I had a white friend once at school we went to his house his sister must have thought nobody was at home and she was having sex upstairs with her boyfriend (which was a friend of his older brother) i was shocked i thought sumin big is gonna happen but the only thing that happend was that he got a bit annoyed and later gave his sister a few cheap words and a dirty look and thats it - you know why? cuz in their society its perfectly normal, there is no use for the word 'shame' in their culture, everything is deemed 'natural'. your explaining something to someone which is not going to understand, these people be shopping for condoms to give their kids how do you expect them to understand something like dress sence! lol

I just find it a bit strange that, the majority of things Faye says here is what our nafs demands, "to be liberal" and act upon what it desires. And many a time has she tried to convince girls to her way of thinking.

what i find offensive manzareh, is that some people on here, live in the west but appear to disapprove of everything the westerners do. i never knew that before coming on pf, how much muslims seem to despise the west. the muslims i have been in communication with have been beautiful, friendly people so it has been a suprise to me to see your hatreds of the country some here live in and such disrespect for others who don't have your own values.
how are westerners forcing their ideas on you when you go to live in their countries?
