What about to children? You have a point on adults being able to make their own decisions, however children can't. So why are you okay with indoctrinating children into Islam when they don't know any better?

See? This is where your idiothope comes out to play. Reading between the lines, since you don't make an issue of any other religion being taught to kids,,, what you are, in your secular militant ideology are trying to say is that if you could have it your way: Muslims would not be able to teach their faith to their kids without some reprecussion.

Its a very very stupid question you ask. It really demonstrates how far off you are from being truly an educated person by any measure. In hereditary studies there is not just the concept of genetic code, but the concept of memes. Like the genetic code, memes can change and evolve over time. However, they still are important to human society and sociological development. They are the non genetic part of what humans pass on and what humans are willing to group themselves in addition to genetic kinship.

So if in due time secular militant atheism takes on a sizable component of society or the moderate alternative, secular humanist rationalism... these parents will inevitably prefer their children to share these memes.

This is why the joke in Texas amongst WASPs is that its easier to accept one's son is gay than a Muslim... because that ethnic group inherently wants their progeny to perpetuate that meme. In theory, the meme is a phenotype marker of the underlying genetics (though this is actually an incorrect human error).

So that is why people will pass on multiple ideologies, socialism, communism, Judaism, Islam, Democracy spreading etc to their children... because that is how humans were, are, and will be.

The issue with psychopaths like you is that you want to remodel society where youcan, by pure force make it so that Pashtuns cannot teach their children religion.

That is why you wont ever succeed in creating Azaaaaad Pashtunistan. lol.

At best after you murder tons of people - you would create a Disney theme park called "Afghan Land" at Epcot.

So the answer is that its none of your dam-n business what people teach their kids or theirs regarding what you teach your kid (should some unfortunate female be pushed into having to bare your progeny).

yep that pseudo Pir Rokhan crap that attempts to sound like its informed and some sort of manifesto to mirror Lenin? But instead comes off as out of touch drivel? If thats your book it explains why 2 people (probably friends who just got tired of hearing that crap) purchased at half price?

As we have noted, Pashtuns lionize and know their oral tradition about people like Ahmad Shah Baba etc. These people were more than fine with being called good Muslims and even utilized what you call "soft colonialism" to propel Afghan/Pashtun armies forward.

Whether its because the Pashtuns are a partially agrarian society or a multitude of other reasons - the tie to cultural Islam is a tight one.

The nationalist fools and crypto minority derived non quom Pashtuns who created the pseudo nationalist movements hearken back to some nonexistent era before we even had the names of our tribes and are trying to recreate, without any evidence, some pre Islamic era.

That sort of messianic absurdity is truly and utterly insane, if not psychopathic.

Do you even realize what that entails? If two superpowers cannot diminish the role of religion, and instead have exacerbated it and influenced radicalization in the region, back to back (and the Brits before them) what makes you think that you and some other losers standing against pine trees wearing Trotsky bands can do any better without massacring people or jailing them en masse?

So in summary, your book is smeared in sh-it just like your mind.

My bottom line is that to this day, across both borders, the Pashtun persona that we all grew up with, when most of us could still recite our lineages going back 7-8 generations emphasized strength and poetry and we also knew the place of our land and religion in our minds. And personages the educated were taught were men like Ahmad Shah Baba who is the personifcation of the ideal Pashtun identity in the minds of millions, rural agrarians and academics alike.

In your sick holocaust that you are trying to inflict by proxy and want to inflict should you ever be able to... that same Ahmad Shah would be either jailed or in the ground.

This means you need to remove that Azad Pashtunistan slogan from your flag. Either you need to change it to Mazlum Pashtunistan (occupied and oppressed Pashtunistan) or Azad Thash Deger (Free Empty Field) since everyone would be dead.

What can I say? Roaches learn to hide in the dark cracks. Even their Comrade Najib was like the uber roach, one day clearly going by Comrade, then being called Najib - Ullah when the "others" were winning, and then in his letter to the US suddenly he became someone who wanted to take on the "green menace" in league with the democratic capitalist institution his original ideology claimed to oppose loooool.

Many of these people are minorities who felt dis enfranchized in sunni dominated regions (e.g Mohammad Taqi the Shiite) and subscribed to these ideologies the same way Michael Aflaq created Baathism in the Syria Iraq Lebanon zone.

Their end goal really has nothing to do with improving the conditions of Pashtuns en masse or whatever else drivel they claim motivates them. Instead its to help themselves under that guise.

Its Bob Dylan... the famous folk musician. Dylan had some occasionally good stuff like Hurricane and Blowin in the Wind which were his social protests against injustice.

A lot of was lifted from Guthrie though.

Well if you believe this, then let's take that to the next step....which you probably won't agree with but ...

couldn't you also argue that raising children as Pashtuns, by imparting in them a specific language, culture and identity and so on ... also fall into the classification of indoctrination? After all, you're deciding their identities for them, rather than letting them decide on their own, right?

Basically anything human civilization has produced and conditioned our young into, could be deemed indoctrination. Why not just be feral in that case?

Also, as economist Kaushik Basu says: "For a nation to progress it is important for people to spend time on science, mathematics and literature instead of spending time showing that 5,000 years ago their ancestors did science, mathematics and literature."

I mean where are all the 'normal' everyday Pashtuns you come accross?? or atleast the mainstream common Pashtun. The 'normal' 'everyday' Pashtun I come accross regardless of his religious views remain respectful, tolerant and able to have a constructive conversation. Yet here the people seem abit bitter, foul mouthed, disrespectful and abusive. I know the Internet/hiding behind a computer screen makes people feel brave and safe but c'mon this is abit too extreme..

Statistic here of active members is something like 8 or 9 out of 10 members here are not Muslim. My question is why? Is it because in real life you don't have the opportunity to vent out your frustration against Islam due to fear/being scared? What is it..Why does this place attract you I.e the minority of blasphemes/Islamopheobes/atheists etc?? You might argue there are a hell of a lot of you guys in real life that choose to hide due to family and stuff, ok fair enough but you cannot deny that majority of followers of this race are Muslim, so where are they???

Whats wrong with secular or even athiests for that matter, why do you care? why dont worry about yourself rather then others?

Also like Shamlawar said, hardly anyone is muslim anyways, a good 80-90% of muslims do not follow anything in the Quran/hadiths, just calling yourself muslim makes you a muslim? ok

For me I was religious when I joined here about 5-6 years, not very religious, but still to a certian point, but since about 2012, I have become much more secular, for the reasons I explained in the other thread

I like things about Islam, like charity, caring, showing compassion to parents etc.... there are many good things that one can follow, however on the flip side, I will never follow things like slavery, child marriage, wife beating, rape in War etc.... and many other things like that which Islam allows. To me a good thing is a good thing and bad thing is a bad, doesn't matter which culture or religion you are coming from.

It's called a discussion and a valid point, stop being intolerant and butthurt because you are on the receiving end for a change, I can speak about what I want to here, freedom of speech. We are Pashtuns not katchee's from Karachi, we value our religion so get used to these kind of discussions. If you want to engage with us then answer the topic/post at hand instead of winging.

You don't agree with anything he says unless it suits your narrative. How very convenient this piece of shiit statistic is all of a sudden lol. Damn fool

You weren't religious at all I remember your posts because of how shallow they were in terms of Islamic knowledge. I was not religious AT ALL but compared to your lack of basic understandings and idiotic questions I felt like I was. You are a lier. First you say you was a Mullah now you say you was religious. It's all a load of crap like your fairytale trip to Cuba.

'To me a good thing is a good thing and a bad thing is a bad' LOL what kind of kintergarden statement is this. It exposes how futile your thinking is, you cannot comprehend context. Not everything is black and white, there are a lot of complex subjects in Islamic jurisprudence. You do not have the mental capacity to research into matters further than their titles.
