It's astonishing though, isn't it? How a father can brutally murder his child. How heartless does a ******* have to be to do something like that? How can a man raise his hand on his daughter and then call himself honorable?

Thats better than the concept of abolishing marriage so people can have sex with everyone they please which is a very common ideal among Socialists.

I don't think it's majority anymore, though. But many Pukhtuns do have something against educated females and the education of their girls.

Liberalism and Socialism go hand in hand. A socialist economic system with a liberal social philosophy, that's what I believe in. Within liberalism come many things, the equality of women with men being one.

I don't care what Lenin did in his personal life. That was his business. Whether he had 11 wives, 4 wives, 1 wife or 100 concubines - that's his personal business.

I'm not an ideologue. There are many here, by the way. Some would defend even the most atrocious aspects of their religion or state because they don't want to deviate from their ideology. Socialism has been in China for more than half a century yet people get married there. In Russia, the culture is such that even under Capitalism, a lot of children are born outside wedlock. I think marriage is an important social aspect and Socialism gives women the opportunity to dump abusive husbands without having to worry about financial considerations.

And 'Socialism' does not believe in "free love". Why do you always argue on such low, base points? Everything for you eventually boils down to young girls having free sex.

there is a custom "swara" it exists in waziristan , khyber agency and other tribal areas.

Yes. And add on that most times, the marriage takes place against the will of the girl -- all in an attempt to create "peace" between the two families. The injustice isn't only that the girl's say is not taken into consideration, but it's also after the marriage: She's treated very badly by her in-laws because they're still very bitter and angry about what her father/brother did (killing someone from her in-laws' side). It's unfair since she had nothing to do with it; SHE is the one suffering the penalty of the crime of another individual, be it her family member.

The good thing, however, is that it's not as common as it was once.

there are lots cons in our pashtun culture.
We need education and awearness and respect our women.

it is because we dont have a police system like in western countrys,thats why many people using the islamic and pashtunwali nang namos way to protect their woman from bandits from evil warlods from beeing raped or killed .you cant move freely in a country where on 1 policeman 100 bandits comes,and this poor policeman is not just currupt he has to take care of an area bigger than london.inshallah if this anarchy is in some years over than of course the rules for woman and children will also change.
