Thanks Yousufzai Pakhtun...i did mention that i want to learn Pekhwari pashto... hard dialect....
and if its اوښ with the kheen then it had to be ookh... not oogh as i wrote it...also the carrot—gaazrra-- ګازړه, ګاځره it with zde not zey...but this is how i found in the dictionary.. thanks for correcting...
also Shlombay let the Kandahary dialect be there, in case somebody learning this dialect wants to learn the vocabularies....
Nokia Aphridy... its confusing at times..but u all are always there to clear my doubts... but now i know kheen is pekhawari dialect and sheen in kandahary dialect....

Sorry for encroachment in your post but i want to add...Originally posted by spogmai shaglay View Post61) Chalk--- tabasheer----- تباشير
62) Chameleon---- karborree ----- كربوړى
63) Cheat---ttag/taggmaar--- ټګ يا ټګمار
64)Cheat (v)----ttagee kawal ----- ټګى كول
65) Chew (v)--- zowal ----- ژوول
yea Chameleon( Girgit) ------ karborree or karboday or karbodee but the 1st one with R after o are not pronounced. So it pronounced as d.
63) Its cheater a (noun) and give the same meaning as mentioned Tag/tagmar/tagijan
64) cheat---- ttagee or simply tagi and kawal means doing or in urdu karna. so for verb its written as tagi kawal(tagi karna or cheaing karna)
65) chew --- zowal or xgowal or its better if u know urdu or pashto alphabate its written poperly in your post.
My intention is to simplify but i fear it may go other way around....

61) Chalk---tabasheer.....we call it simply "chalk" in our pashto" i think Tabasheer is an arabic word i don't think this word is used in Peshawar and its adjacent areas.
62) Chameleon -----Girget.......Ahh Karborey .....it is a type of lizard..often found in houses, it is black and sometines its head is red it differes from charmakhkey ...we used to kill it in our childhood bcoz our elders have told us that killing a "Karborey" is a Sawab.
...plural of Karborey is "Karboree"
63) Cheat -----We use "Ttag/Ttagmar/+ dhokamaar
64) Cheat (V) -------- Ttagee kawal/dhoka kawal.....and ttagee is for cheating...
65) Chew -----Jowal....as jhe sounds like jeem not zhey...for Zhey "Z" can be used but for "Jheem" and "Jhey" "J" is used.Na soz sho na saaz sho,
Bas hasy jwand tamam sho

My brother and cousins use to to do that always in our garden where there were many chameleons... and then tie a thread to its tail.. harass it how much they want... and then tie a fire cracker to it and burst it... as they too were told that it is a sawab to killl one.. i was never active is such things as whatever it is, its a living being and killing one is not acceptable to me...
coming back to the vocabulary...

Spoghmai, In our dialect we use "Yakh" for cold.
I am cold --Zma yakh kezheyEven Adobe Photoshop can't change me.
A line[Durrand line] of hatred that raised a wall between the two brothers -Hamid Karzai
For generations, the Hindus of India prayed for deliverance from "the venom of the cobra, the teeth of the tiger and the vengeance of the Afghan."
The men of Kábul and Khilj also went home; and whenever they were questioned about the Musulmáns of the Kohistán (the mountains), and how matters stood there, they said, "Don't call it Kohistán, but Afghánistán; for there is nothing there but Afgháns and disturbances." Thus it is clear that for this reason the people of the country call their home in their own language Afghánistán, and themselves Afgháns. The people of India call them Patán; but the reason for this is not known. But it occurs to me, that when, under the rule of Muhammadan sovereigns, Musulmáns first came to the city of Patná, and dwelt there, the people of India (for that reason) called them Patáns—but God knows!
