      How do I say

'My mother in law is doing good and yourself?'
'How is your children, have you spoke to your relatives back home recently?

'I am so bored at work and just browsing the internet and yourself?'

the correction u made didnt contain the words on which the sentences were made... and also i try to make sentences in simple present tense cause i have learned only that so far......as u are the one who corrects me here always i also want an advice from you..... do u feel that i should wait and learn all the tenses first and then attempt to make sentences and till then simultaneously learn pashtu vocabulary???????

        Salaam spogmay!

hmm.. actually i have used the pure pakhto words in corrections... for example you used "Maazirat" for apology which is also used by urdu speakers..so i used "Bakhana" which is a pure pashto word (but with bakhana one should use "ghwaram") as i did. similarly i have changed "Araz" to "Khwast"(araz being Urdu) etc.

I think you should first learn pashto vocabulary/words/verbs etc...and then go for tenses.....baaqee chey sanga taa ta asaana vee...

        Regards,
        Yousafzai

Spogmai jaaney, you're doing a beautiful job! I love and appreciate your enthusiasm for teaching whatever you do know and, while doing so, learning yourself by being open to criticism and correction from those who might have more knowledge in Pukhto.

There are only certain things that we shouldn't teach unless we have 99% knowledge about (I say 99% knowledge and not 100% because it's impossible to know 100% about ANYTHING). If you were the only one here teaching Pukhto, then we'd have some problems, but since there are many others along with you, I don't think it's a problem at all.

Keep it up, and thank you I've learned a lot of vocab from you and the rest who have contributed. And I appreciated it wholeheartedly! I don't at all doubt that many others feel the same way.

I didn't know that some Pashtuns call chest sangal... but sangal is our word for elbow.

I think the best pashto word for benefit is "Fayeda/Gatta" (fayeda is also used in Urdu )
"Tuhfa" is for "gift", "peshkash" for "offer" and i don't know what you mean by "Gad"????

Thanks Qrratugai.... for all ur appreciation.....

but i am not teaching here... i am learning here.... i had also requested Admin Khan to change the thread name... because a few members had objected in the beginning that how can somebody teach when herself doesnt know .......hence now it is "learners Thread: Pashtu vocabulary for beginners".... i write vocabulary and request members here to correct it as in pronunciation, the way i write it in English.....
