based on my admittedly cursory knowledge of computer science; I think the idea of a technical benefit of a Romanized script to be a faulty and a clear mask for culturally subserviant/inferiority complex driven motives masquerading as rationality; when really being highly irrational/
Firstly if we examine the nature of something as basic as ascribing binary values to letters. It would simply make no sense Every letter of the Roman Script has a certain assembly of values. Now When you take a Pashto word like
"zjhamai" zjhamai is spelled with a "zjh" now that's 3 letters, which means it would correspond to 3 times the values. Now if we used the Pashto script that we currently have, we'd have 1/3rd of that theoretically, and furthermore we could, depending on proficiency of the readers of the language get rid of the zewar (zer, pesh , zabar etc etc) so that voweling is reduced, this way we can optimalize memory usage and processing efficiency.
If we argue from a vantage of latinized or Hellenic scientific language, This is intellectual subservience; just like many people have innovated words from preexisting Pashto words like Electronic Mail became "Brikhnalik" or electricity became "brikhna"
However; if we want to go by pure rationality without any cultural attachments; this would be a true challenge for those who claim their motives are rational; when we know they really suffer from White man induced inferiority and low self esteem issues.
We should have Arabic as a scientific language over latin or greek. Even in Sciences so many words are of arabic origins, Sugar, Alcohol, Alkaline Chemistry, Algebra, Azimuth.
But asides from that, Arabic has a unique feature; it uses Tri-Literal Root system which makes it multiapplicable; you can compound words easier and apply them based on their root system.
for example the the root "ra ba ayn"; can be Four (Arb'ah) or rab'iah (spring) or muraba' (square). It follows a very logical system of procession unlike latin or greek which are very arbitrary.
