A Sahaba is a person who met the prophet, and he/she who accepted islaam.
But a Sahaba can make mistakes, he/she are human. So was the son of Abu Bakr Sadiq (ra), when he attacked Uthman ibn Affan (ra). So where the people who refused to pay Zakat,

Like I showed you, nobody, and especially not Umar Ra, altered the prophets Sunnah, and you till now, failed even to say a word on those posts. Abu Dhar was not exiled, he was annoyed by the series of events which took place in the era of Uthman ibn Affan (ra). Your last sentence is already refuted.

      • Dreamer, please help me out. If no book is sahih, what books should we study to learn about Islam?

Because obviously Shi'ism is based on a few books including Quran and a few others.

So which of the books other than Quran are reliable sources we can refer to when learning about Islam?

          • 1 I am not a shia
(NOT in the kodern understanding anyway )
I believe according to history that Imam Ali was the rightful heir of prophet
I do not live nder titles of sahih like sangar
I believe that even the great Sahaba that u regard as ... like Abu Bakar etc were not perfect that they made mistakes... and that the mistakes Ive listed....
that the true political heirs were the imams of the ahle bayt.... IN that sence I am a shia (supporter of them) like u are a shia of muawiyya and yazeed

Thank you for your wonderful answer.

But you should be able to answer my question. If Sahih al Bukhari and Al Kafi are not sahih, what books do you use to build your belief about 'not being a shi'a' and being a shi'a' on?

Can you share those books with us so we can become like you: not shi'a and shi'a at the same time.

why do you call me a bigot? What have I done to deserve this insult?

If shi'a fiqh is based on mujahiart (spelling?) where can I find this book?

And what about the aqeedah (creed) of shi'ites? Which book deals with aqeeda? Care to share that with us so we can learn shi'ite aqeeda?

                          • I've googled al mujahirat. The only reference to such a thing is this thread.

Please help me learn about Shi'ism.

                              Just a second:

                              Al-Tabrassi said:
“Al-Kafi among the four Shia books (Al-Kafi, Al-Tahzeeb, Al-Istibsar, Al-Faqih) is like the sun among the stars, and who looked fairly would not need to notice the position of the men in the chain of hadiths in this Book, and if you looked fairly you would feel satisfied and sure that the hadiths are firm and accurate.” (Mustadrak Al-Wasa’el, volume.3, page.532)
                              Al-Hur Al’amily said:
“The authors of the four Books of the Shia (Al-Kafi, Al-Tahzeeb, Al-Istibsar, Al-Faqih) have testified that the Hadiths of their books are accurate (Sahih), firm and well conducted from the roots that all Shia agreed on, and if you consider those scholars (the authors of the four books) are reliable then you must accept their sayings and their narrations.” (Al-Wasa’el, volume.20, page.104)
                              Sharaf Al Din Musawi said:
“Al-Kafi, Al-Tahzeeb, Al-Istibsar, and Mun La Yahdu-Ruhu Al-Faqih are Mutawatirah (100% accurate) and agreed on the accuracy of its contents (the Hadiths), and Al-Kafi is the oldest, greatest, best and the most accurate one of them.” (The book of Al-Muraja’aat, Muraj’ah number 110)
                              Muhammad Sadiq Al-Sadr said:
“The Shia are unanimous as to the four books (Al-Kafi, Al-Tahzeeb, Al-Istibsar, Al-Faqih) being accepted and all the narrations in them are accurate.” (”Kitab Al-Shia”, The Book of Shia, page.127)

                              Sayyid Mahdi Modaressi

About the authenticity of these traditions, I would have to say that we must give them the benefit of the doubt and consider them authentic until proven otherwise if they are narrated in one of the major Shia texts such as the Four Books, Al Kafi, AlAl Mustadrak, and Bihar Al Anwar along with its sources. Wasa’el,

Your Ayatullah Khomeini says about al Kafi:

"Do you think it is enough [kafi] for our religious life to have its laws summed up in al-Kafi and the
                              n placed upon a shelf?"

Maybe you are more knowledgeable than Khomeini to give a fatwa that everything there is false.

Are you saying shi'ite religion is based on a book which is a dialogue between a shi'ite and a sunni scholar? When is this book written and published?
