Fact that Muslims are taking this post so seriously rather than as a light-hearted joke shows how badly they respond to any critique of their religion.

Typical, other then joining you in mocking ourselves you guys would count any response as a retaliation.

But who's to say what people should take light hearted and what not to take light hearted though? .. You? Non-Muslims?

Not really, I mean... jokes like 'let your daughters fall in love', if that was directed at say Indian or Afghan culture, then people might go 'yeah that's true, we need to change ourselves', but because he said 'Muslims' it's not okay.

Actually, I haven't seen many Christian fanatics who kill in the name of Jesus. Most Christian-majority countries are past that stage. Muslims on the other hand are stuck in time.

People respond "badly" because this "joke" has no ground in reality but a western imperialistic narrative. Who would accept lies and ignorant views being spread about himself and his culture/people???

Its not a joke. Its ignorance, xenophobia and islamophobia disguised as a "joke"....

Stereotyping 1/4 of the worlds population and displaying ignorance about x culture is not the same as a joke.

In the west a woman being a **** and getting ****ed by 1000,men by the time she hits 25 is called "let their daughters fall in love"....this type of animalistic behavior obviously does not impress Afghans and other (noble) cultured people...

Why would you agree to something being true if it wasn't.

You haven't seen many christian fanatics who kill in the name of jesus?? not sure if that comment was ignorance or a lack of intelligence.

                Andries Brevik?
                Jim David Adkisson?
                Timothy McVeigh?
                Frank Silva Roque??
                Paul Jennings Hill??
                Joseph Stack??

this is not making fun, there is definitely reality in this too. The biggest problem with muslims is they are way to emotional and violent, this is a recipe for a disaster that we see all around the muslim world

The problem with most Muslims if they're not being taught Islam in its full extent. They're taught aggression but not taught that responsibility and temperament and restraint that are supposed to control aggression.

                    You're being intellectually dishonest.

I am not being dishonest, the reality of muslims (the way they act/behave) is so different from what you are preaching here.

Islam is what you make of it, there are both good and bad verses there, everyone knows about this, everyone knows that the ultimate goal of Islam is to establish Sharia around the world, even through violent ways, you can't deny this at all, you are lying to yourself if you deny this

Because Moses was around at the time of the Torah Which was before the birth of Jesus and the bible. Even if it was to do with Jews you still slipped up trying to label it a Muslim thing. Man you need basic history and religion lessons.

Take yourself as an example of a kafir, your always depressed, arguing & pointing fingers, sulking complaining... you have no life in you - so by your logic being a non-muslim means all the above traits of yours.

Or rather it shows that our spirituality and values have a sense of priority that we should honor and revere, that would be my guess What you wrote about how badly Muslims take criticism, yes not all Muslims take criticism well, maybe even most do not, but having a counter response is an honorable and intellectually valid way to handle criticism

What would you rather us do? behead people?

Also, as economist Kaushik Basu says: "For a nation to progress it is important for people to spend time on science, mathematics and literature instead of spending time showing that 5,000 years ago their ancestors did science, mathematics and literature."

No you're being INTELLECTUALLY dishonest, it's a type of sophism, where you take superficial facts and draw broad conclusions on them.

Yeah people will judge MUSLIMS for how they behave, Muslims are not in and of themselves sacrosanct or above reproach otherwise why would we have naseha? But this cannot be because "Islam told them so" because Islam does not tell them to do much of what you're incriminating them for.

Islam is not "simply" what you make of it. Otherwise we'd have people trying to justify Worshipping a 7 Headed Hydra from Ancient Greek lore. There is an aspect that is related to how the individual relates to Islam, for sure, but there's also a dimension where there's an objective grander scale. We harmonize between the two. This is what Allah has made of Islam

Also, as economist Kaushik Basu says: "For a nation to progress it is important for people to spend time on science, mathematics and literature instead of spending time showing that 5,000 years ago their ancestors did science, mathematics and literature."

What is the end Islamic goal? are you saying it is not dominance and the rule of Sharia world over? clearly you are being dishonest or your knowledge is weak.

Islam is practiced in so many different ways, especially where interpretations of verses/hadiths are concerned, clearly it is what you make of it.
