  • Does leaving the prayer make one a kaafir?

    Bismillah

    As Salaamu Alaykum wa Rahmatullah

We are often told that having a good heart is sufficient and Imaan is only in the heart and tongue.

This implies that actions are not part of imaan. So suppose someone does not pray, would this person become an apostate or not?

And why is that so? Please refer to Quran & Sunnah in your answers.

I normally don't agree with Khorasani, but I agree with him on this one.

You don't even know what I think about this subject. How can you agree with me?

At this part, this is what I was referring to.

Bring up Quran and Authentic Hadiths.

I think of one doesn't pray all the time, is not a Kafir, and can have better deen then the person praying 5 times a day.

Theirs a lot of people who pray for show.

I didn't say a person who doesn't pray all the time. I am talking about taarik as-salaah. The one who leaves the prayer all together.

The ruling on the one who leaves the prayer intentionally sometimes is slightly different.

We are not discussing the one who never prays.

I am not interested in people's opinions or people's own creative interpretations of Quran & Sunnah. I am only interested in people's responses where they can give me a valid reasoning founded on ayat and ahadith why a taarik salaah is kaafir or not.

Jabir bin Abdullah says: I heard the Messenger of Allah (SallAllah-u-Alaihi-wa-Sallam) saying this: The difference between a man (Muslim) and shirk and kufr is the abandoning of salaah.
(Sahih Muslim: Kitab ul Iman: Book 001, Number 0147)

Prophet Muhammad (SallAllah-u-Alaihi-wa-Sallam) said: The difference between us and them (Kuffar/Non-Muslims) is that of salaah so whoever abandons salaah certainly commits kufr.
(Tirmidhi, kitab ul Iman, Declared Sahih by Imam Tirmidhi, Imam Nasai and Allama Iraqi, Minhaaj ul Muslimeen pg.80)

Prophet Muhammad (SallAllah-u-Alaihi-wa-Sallam) said: The difference between a slave (Muslim) and shirk is the abandoning of salaah. When he leaves salaah, he commits shirk.
(Ibn Maja, Sahih Jami ul Sagheer part 2 pg 95, Sanad: Sahih, Minhaaj ul Muslimeen pg. 80)

From the above ahadith it is clear that leaving of salaah is kufr and shirk, it should be known:
Surely Allah won't forgive shirk, anything besides that Allah will forgive....
                          (Surah Nisa, ayah 48)

Oh please, your the one who listens to Sheiks all the time. Now you do not want to listen to our opinions, or "creative interpretations"?

I say your sheiks and scholars are the ignorant ones.

Near the day of judgement, the "learned ones" would be of the losers. That's a Bukhari Hadith (reworded)
