The Military spending went out of hand. Protectionists are taking over to control the spending. Trump wanted to control all spending, military and social services, but he is now only targeting social services. The MIC is too powerful and that will be its undoing of its influence in the World.

Trump had his opportunity but failed. Now USA instead of withdrawing and watch from far away how enemies kill each other it has decided to keep invading and bombing Islamic countries. Basically American empire has decided to commit suicide in the Islamic world.Originally posted by khushal View PostThe Military spending went out of hand. We pronounce it like "shirwo," which, now that I think about it, is kind of weird as the o->i vowel shift is a Waziri thing, and I'm not sure if there are any other words in our Pashto with the same shift. We do have a->i shifts (like "wale" is pronounced "wiley" and "ghwag" is prnounced "ghwig"). I wonder why we pronounce it that way.Originally posted by khushal View PostWe have the khe dialect but we say shorwoLast edited by maneatinglizard; 03-12-2018, 08:13 PM.

I was trying to write it like the rest of the people but our pashto is unique. Every time I write Pashto in Roman alphabet, many people say my pashto is gada wada or incorrect which makes me laugh.Originally posted by maneatinglizard View PostWe pronounce it like "shirwo," which, now that I think about it, is kind of weird as the o->i vowel shift is a Waziri thing, and I'm not sure if there are any other words in our Pashto with the same shift. I was in Kabul a couple of years ago for the first time and every shopkeeper and taxi driver would recognize I was Zazai after one or two sentences.

The more I read about what is happening inside the American political machine, the more I understand about how Empires fall. No matter how hard one tries and Trump tried all his best, no one can seem to challenge the MIC. The industry is too much entrenched and they are addicted to the easy money from the US treasury and they need a monster(Islam has replaced Soviet Communism) to convince people to keep feeding the military machine.Originally posted by Firdousi View PostTrump had his opportunity but failed. In the Middle East, they are now focused to support the weak parties in the conflict to prolong the wars making it profitable for them.

USA is not a country, its a huge corporation. Everything seems to be about money and wagecucking in that "country". Trump tried his best? I dont think so. I do believe he tried, but his own entourage brainwashed him into keep bombing foreign countries. His lack of political experience and knowledge are a huge handicap for him. Also the guy is emotional, irrational and easily-influenced to the core. That doesnt help.Originally posted by khushal View PostThe more I read about what is happening inside the American political machine, the more I understand about how Empires fall. In the coming decade we are going to witness some catastrophic times. Western national debt is getting out of hand and raising uncontrolled. Eventually in order to avoid default, Western governments will dump social services which will cause massive riots and instability.Last edited by Firdousi; 03-13-2018, 06:49 AM."For thirty years, I endured much pain and strife,

It wont be that bad but it will lose its influence it has/had in the World. Empires first lose their soft power and will be forced to resort to hard power to keep its influence and we are witnessing this phase. The West will still be a major player, but it wont be a dominant player. Many nations are already seeing benefit in doing business with China rather than the US meaning China is gaining it soft power while the US is starting to wane. The election of Trump is just the first reaction to the out of control spending and the fleecing by its elites.Originally posted by Firdousi View PostUSA is not a country, its a huge corporation. Most of the turmoil from the fall of America will be outside the US. Its client regimes will collapse and that's where the turmoil and suffering will be.

I always call yakhni like a cold soup.Originally posted by salman47 View PostWe call the soupy/watery part of a dish/tarkari/katwe as khurwa. And soup is yakhni.
What about you?
Also, as economist Kaushik Basu says: "For a nation to progress it is important for people to spend time on science, mathematics and literature instead of spending time showing that 5,000 years ago their ancestors did science, mathematics and literature."

In my dialect, both rishtya and rixtya are used, but rixtya is more common. We exclusively say shorya though, this is the first time I've heard xorya/xorwa.Originally posted by Akbar View PostThat's actually true
