it's not that we hate Punjabis, it's that after all of our self aggrandizing chest thumping about how we've "never been defeated" and we're "Rugged Mountain Warriors who brought Alexander the Great to his knees" and other farcical self deluded propaganda we feed ourselves......we're now squabbling through life with little to show for our supposed historical glories.

Now don't get me wrong; The Punjabi Establishment certainly did exploit and manipulate Afghanistan and Pashtuns for their own political gains. Many peope suffered needlessly as a consequence. That is certainly a guilt the Pakistani power elite must admit to

BUT>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Pakistan, Punjab,,,,,America, Russia and everyone else would never have been able to even gain ACCESS to Afghanistan if we had our act together and approached things intelligently.

We ignore our history, or rather we ignore the unsavory parts of it. The man we call the "Baba-e-Millat" Worked as a mercenary for Nadir Shah Qoli, Turkman and helped Nadir Shah kill other Pashtuns in Kandahar. He later went to loot, rape and pillage Punjab, Sindh and Northern India with impunity.

And then we wonder why Punjabi Muslims sided with Ranjit Singh.

Shah Shujaa was his grandson and it was through HIM that the British gained any influence in Afghanistan. Rather than build a strong country, he just wanted more concubines. And then Abdur Rahman Khan did the final blow by giving away the rest of Pashtun land to Lord Mortimoer Durand to annex into the British Raj, whatever his reasons were, it was his weakness that put him to that decision.

So no we don't hate Punjabis, who we really hate is ourselves, we're just too pompous to realize it.

1-No one can become PM of pakistan without getting enough seats from punjab i.e punjab decides next PM.
1- Army is 70-80% punjabi. Punjabi Peasants were supposed to be busy in the agriculture while martial cultures like pashtuns and balochs, who do not have so much fertile lands, were supposed to be given maximum jobs in army. But army is true power in pakistan and punjabis insist on maintaining the majority. Pashtuns in army are lackeys of punjabis.
3- Beurocracy was once dominated by indian mohajirs in 50s but hindkowan ayub khan gave the chance to punjabis to shine. Beurocracy totally is dominated by punjabis. Same is case with judiciary.
4- Most of the industries by governament were installed in punjab even though relatively dry and barren KPK and balochistan need industries. The successful and flourishing free tax industrial zone of gadoon was destroyed by punjab's nawaz by enforcing heavy taxes on it.
5- As urdu comes natural to you punjabis, so all the urdu media, literature is dominated and controlled by you punjabis.
6- Punjabis are mostly bareilvis, this school of thought has become mainstream version of islam in pakistan while deobandis who are mostly pashtuns, are marginalized as khwarij and terrorists.

If you dont take the responsibility for actions of your qaum, then stop speaking on behalf of your qaum.

Pakistan back then was very weak and sought assistance with neighbors to counter India.

In Pakistan Pashtun abandon even the vote in protest. Most of them wanted to be part of Afghanistan. Since back then Afghanistan was ruled by Pashtun elites, they tried to unite with people who themselves wanted to be part of Afghanistan I must add.

Afghanistan didn't fear Pakistani army/military and would probably have taken Pashtunkhwa if they didn't meet resistance from some local Pashtuns. As I mention before Afghanistan was ruled by Pashtun elites and that why they backed off Pakistan, because they didn't want to hurt Pashtuns. Militarily Afghanistan was a lot stronger than Pakistan back then, but Afghanistan didn't want to sacrifice Pashtun blood for a bit of land.

To sum it all up. Afghanistan was willing to go in military confrontation when Pashtuns in Pakistan wanted, and Afghanistan was willing to back off when pashtuns in Pakistan didn't want military confrontation. So basically Afghanistan was working for Pashtun interest, it not Afghanistan's fault that mixed signals was send by Pashtuns in Pakistan.
I agree with most of your Post. But those countries disputes are very limited.Such as Kashmir is a small part when considered with respect to Pakistan and even more smaller when considered with respect to India. But in Afghanistan case they were claiming everything west of indus river as disputed territory,Just recently one general in Afghanistan claimed it again.

May be your right but i had heard it differently that after the agreement of durrandline in british india era,the pashtun fought against the british forces but no help came from Afghanistan side and was the reason they could not successfully secceed back into Afghanistan

After the creation of Pakistan, within less than a year,Pashtuns captured 37% of kashmir which even today pakistan hold and has a extremely strategic value for pakistan.

Well i had come across many sources claiming that Bacha khan didnt wanted to be part of Pakistan rather to remain with india but i have never come across a single source which claimed that bacha khan during the partition wanted to become part of Afghanistan.

Though i am sure if Pashtun majority region would have remained out of Pakistan and rather with india, the merger with Afghanistan was inevitable later.

Killzai, your writing is a bit confusing, but a handful of Pashtuns in the Pakistani government is not indicative of the central power structure being resting on Punjab and the hereditary social dynamics of Punjab. Let's be honest.

You didn't offend me, you make me pity you, how desperate you are, you can't even see reality for what it is you live in a fantasy world where Pashtuns are 6000 years old, defeated Alexander the Great and are independent warriors who were never conquered and all come from the same ethnic origin.

You have an inferiority complex, and people who usually pride themselves on things like nationality, ethnicity, race etc. only do so because they have nothing of their own merit to take pride in. You're basically a Redneck, just like redneck's in America pride themselves about their race when everyone laughs at them for their ignorance and backwards thinking, The rest of the world laughs at you because you haven't evolved.

Trust me, the only offense you could muster is that people like you hold humanity back from evolving. Now go back to molesting boys dancing in your hujra. We have grown up things to discuss here.
