Ghairat is a relative term.

For some people it´s beghairat to behave like that.

In Pashtun culture you have certain rules to follow when you are a guest even if you are insulted indirectly.
In Pashtun culture guests are treated very kindly even if they misbehave. In Torkham´s case the Tajiks seem not to follow that concept.

For others it´s big time beghairaty to whitewash crimes against your own people by siding with Pakis and Northern Alliance narratives.

Guys focus on the thread please. The USA or Canada is the finest example that I can think of when it comes to multiculturalism. So it's beyond a shame and disgusting to see two ethnic groups not being able to survive, especially when you have 800 languages in New York City thriving and surviving. I am sad for the problems the region actually has. Hate You can find allmost throught all peoples, and every time there will be a "reason". I think is quiet unserious taking one Ahmad shah Massoud or the Youtube Tajiks for a whole nation. Neither Afghanistan nor Tajikistan nor Pakistan are national states. So there must be a rethinking in people, or it will continue even worse in future. At the moment Afghanistan became a kind of experimental field for empires where they can plan other conflicts. I am shocked about the high level of disagreement i see even among different Pashtuns(not even other nations). Honor isn't same as pride, honor is something a person earns, it does not prexist from birth on, its the deeds that make a person honorful.

where did it take place? who were the individuals involved? how did they take to your presence and your arguments? were they motivated by hate or legitimate historical grievances? are they open to cooperation?

This happened in khushal khan, kabul. No names.
Motivation; young upstarts, full of bravado, they probably heard something on the grapevine and vented it out in 'high spirits', riding on wave of fast cash. Of course I hadnt heard the news and posted it here to hear comments, as soon as i landed in dubai.
