I would focus on eating halal or haraam because eating haraam stops your Dua from being accepted. and then we ask how come our dua's are never answered well you have to be pure and eating pork will not make you pure. Allah S.w.t has forbidden it for us so its our duty to follow his orders. Its one thing if you didnt kno and you ate it but being lazy and not checking if something is halal or haram is not a valid excuse.

whats the way i've done it?Originally posted by Al Hanif View Postthe way you do it yes
halal and haram are just part of a test in your life
you can even eat pork if you're starving to death
to modern day muslims, halal and haram became more like a superstitious thing rather than an act of worship
focusing on things like eating a candy with pig gelatin or plucking your eyebrows or using fake nails... it's not like if 500 afghan children are dying every day from hunger
i'm not starving to death though.
superstition?! this is Islam we're talking about, a religion not superstitions -_-
i'm not talking about candy, i didnt ask about plucking eyebrows or using fake nails
I know that there are other problems around the world, i'm not blind. But if we can't help ourselves in strengthening our deen how are we going to help others?? asking if something is halal or haram is a good thing for ourselves and for others.

OK. I learned it in French but I found it in English websites. There you go :Originally posted by کیشAll have to challenge your statement Al Hanif. Please provide the Hadith source
Lets begin by refering to the Prophet Muhammad(pbuh) sayings, while standing infront of the Kabah, the Prophet raised his finger and spoke out aloud, "...one drop of Muslim blood is more sacred than the Kabah and all around it...".
“The Blood of a Muslim is worth more than the Ka’aba.”
(Sunan Ibn Majah; Silsilah El Saheehah: hadith #3420;In the Targhib wa’ l-Tarhib of Imam al-Mundhiri, 3/276 it has the following hadith from `Abd Allah ibn `Amr ibn al-`As (Allah be well pleased with him) that he said:
“I saw the Messenger of Allah (saw) performing tawaf around the Holy Ka`ba saying to it: ‘how pure and good you are! how pure and good your fragrance is! how great and exalted you are! and how great and exalted your sanctity is! But by Him in Whose hand is Muhammad’s soul, the sanctity of a believer’s blood and property in the sight of Allah is greater than your sanctity!’“
Saheeh El Targheeb wal Tarheeb: hadith #2441)This Hadith is reported by Tabarani.
Hazrath Ibn Abbas (R.A.) said, Rasoolullahi (Peace Be Upon Upon) looked at Ka'ba and said : "La'ilaha Illallah. You are very pure and your smell is very sweet. You are respectable. (However) the status and honour of a believer is more than you. Allahu Ta'la has prohibited the blood, honour and wealth of believer. Allahu Ta'la has also prohibited thinking of bad thoughts about a believer.

no you didn't ask about plucking eyebrows or using fake nails but some people here on this forum did
I was just suggesting that maybe we have more important things to change in ourselves before focusing on such controversial things
you do whatever you want

lol i am calm
but it's a good thing they asked... now they know its not ok so they wont do it.
but im saying if one can't bother to fix their eating habits for the sake of Islam then how are you going to expect them to make bigger changes instead? starting off small is always a good step no?

The answer to your last question is the same answer as to the question : should DZJ focus on where to pray next to her husband ?Originally posted by -Gulalai View Postlol i am calm

^ that can't be real, can it? lolThere are people today who think that admitting God’s absolute greatness decreases the value and importance of humans in the creation, as if God and mankind are rivals competing in greatness and power. Meanwhile I feel that whenever our perception of God’s greatness increases, with it we become greater, because we are the creation of a great God.
