I always knew the opening ceremony would be a bit rubbish as soon as I heard some of the details. I didn't get to see all of it since I was at work but I don't think I missed much.---

Talked politics with a Pakistani customer today.
Found out that he studied in the same class as none other than our friendly neighbourhood (and rather overweight) defence minister, Rahim Wardak while he was there in Pakistan.
He seemed genuine enough though. Was fun.---
