Yeah right, it's not as if I don't EARN my own money for the things I use.

I don't participate in Christmas but not for religious or cultural reasons.

I just find Christmas to just be a bunch of pretentious windbagging nonsense used to make people feel like decent, moral human beings because they acted nice to someone on a handful of special days a year and this now entitles them to be self centered and myopic the rest of the time.

Also, as economist Kaushik Basu says: "For a nation to progress it is important for people to spend time on science, mathematics and literature instead of spending time showing that 5,000 years ago their ancestors did science, mathematics and literature."

Not all Arabs are Muslims....so this analogy is wrong.

You guys are missing my point (want to believe not deliberately). My point is double standards. How Muslims are eager/willing to use/enjoy everything Western except Christmas.

Your own? Seriously? Do you have your own Pakistani technology? Your own Pakistani cars? No, you don't, brother.

So many Muslims hate West yet they won't move to an Islamic country (I am not saying you are one of them). Muslims enjoy Western way of life but at the same time they praise their own as better. This hypocrisy is beyond my comprehension.

Technology is culturally neutral, most of the things you reference , depending on degree and context are culturally neutral. If you gave more specific examples ...like partying at clubs ...then your point would be stronger

LOL you must have a really sad life if you differentiate everything around your life based on what country they are produced in, very strange. Pakistanis can only drive Pakistani made cars, white people cannot have coffee because it was introduced by brown people?? you must be very bored, brother. If you buy something with the money you have earnt it then is yours and you own it regardless who came up with the patent. There's not much you can say to a man that classifies god given water as the ownership of humans.

Furthermore there's westerners that now live in Dubai and work in Malaysia, Saudi and other Muslim countries, they enjoy all the fruits of living in those places yet do nothing but complain and boast about their own ancestral homelands being better, many have seen and witnessed it. hating where you are from and yet still choosing to stick around is an international problem, its not refined to Muslims. I personally know afghans that once where refugees and have seeked asylum in the UK and still complain about the most trivial things imaginable, humans are unappreciative by nature, non-muslims even more so when you look at the damage caused on the beautiful planet we live in.

                    Baleh.
Practicing muslims or actually all muslims in the West should start moving to Islamic countries like "developed" Saudi Arabia and other gulf countries, if you are Sunni and Iran or Levant and some gulf countries if you are Shia and sect for their own benefit and safety. Hillbillies in the West don't wanna learn tolerance and many Muslims act like idiots as well.
I'd like to see my seemingly confused Hijabis on skin tight Jeans with figure enhancing top to be able to just wear a black burqa in public, it will save them time, if you ask me.

I know what Firdousi is talking about. He's talking about the ultra religious Muslims, who have to be super duper Muslimah when it comes to everything, even Christmas... meanwhile, they love to live in Western countries.

Firdousi is right. You're living in secular countries. Countries where church and state is separated, and your success is based on merit. Yet the Muslima people living there are so anal about stupid things, it's annoying. Arabs are a lot worse about this stuff, although many Pakistanis from Karachi, or "Wahabi" types, are exactly the same. Some of them won't eat chicken unless they're 100% certain it's halal or something. I think that's a bit extreme... if it's Chicken, you're probably fine. Yet they love to do haram things like fornicating, or clubbing, etc.

Having said that... I don't care for Christmas. It's stupid. The worst is the Christmas music. I worked in retail part time for about 3 months like 10 years ago... and I was working in the Christmas section. Needless to say, since then I've been turned off by it forever. The goray absolutely FIEND Christmas. I mean they ****ing fiend it. It's like crack cocaine, or heroin, for them

Technology is not neutral. It represents one countries reputation. German cars are better than Iranian cars. Things like this are part of something called soft power (yeah technology its included in that too). Thats why we appreciate much more Japanese or Western technology than Chinese technology.

Thank you. That was so spot-on except for that halal thing. I don't care about that. Its a personal thing just like celebrating Christmas. I just don't care and I respect peoples choice. I find Christmas BS. I seriously feel sad about the West because this great civilization is descending into chaos. They have no respect nor love for their heritage. Christmas is just an excuse for them to eat food, get drunk and get presents.

What I reject is those muslims always complain and looking down on West and its tradition and labeling those Muslims who want to fit in as traitors or fake Muslims while they are the worst. I don't know about USA but here in Europe many Muslims are so annoying. Yesterday I came across one post from an Islamic site from England on FB that was calling those Muslims wishing merry christmas to Christians as bad Muslims. A good Muslims should not mix up with the christian crowd. BS.

You completely missed my point, loser. I respect practicing Muslims. Most of my family members are devout Muslims. I just dislike those uneducated fools, who are always judging other people while being the worst Muslims. I am talking about those Muslims who are always bragging about their faith while drinking alcohol or bitching against the West while living in the West.

This is patently incorrect; if you're aware most of the STEM fields involve international research, thus cannot be the exclusive claim of a culture or country. German Cars maybe better than Iranian Cars, but many Engineers in German Car companies could be Iranian....

Yeah, Iranian engineers working for a German company, using German technology in Germany. Youtube was created by three guys (one Muslim, one Chinese and a Jew) but we consider Youtube as American. Steve Jobs dad was Syrian Muslim, his mom Christian while he was raised by a Buddist Armenian family. But we consider Apple as an American company. And so on.

So you are ignoring many things here now.
