You are confused. Ethnic pride and nationalism and fascism are different things. The first is about being comfortable with your ethnicity and the latter impose or force an identity on people that dont want it.Originally posted by Firdousi View PostThey don't recognize them as nation-states. Quite different things, brother.
Pashtuns have by far a stronger sense of nationhood than any other ethnic group in Afghanistan. There is no ethnic pride among Tajiks. Very few of us are proud of our ethnicity (actually many people in Western Afghanistan don't even consider themselves "Tajiks").
that is not correct. It was the other way around. When the Taliban took mazar the first time in 97, they were ambushed and 3000 Taliban perished. When they took it the second time the following year, the kin of those 3000 perished men took revenge and committed attrocities.Crimes against Pashtuns in the north were committed due to Taliban crimes. Seems you guys want to forget/hide all the crimes committed by several Pashtun forces against non Pashtuns (non Pashtuns committed horrible crimes too, of course).
In 1997, when some 3000 Taliban soliers were killed in fighting in Mazar-i-Sharif
against General Dostums forces, many of them were buried in graves in Dasht-i-laili.
When the Taliban retook Mazar the next year they killed thousands in reprisals, most of them
ethnic hazaras, some of whom were also dumped in the desert, villagers said.Amrullah Saleh is the biggest power hungry divisive person in the region. You should respect those that unite people, not divide them. Under his watch at the NDS, the taliban made a come back because he was trying to secure positions and power for his own ethnic group which forced pashtuns to go back to the Taliban. He had a chance to use the massive amounts of resources the Americans were providing to rebuild the country instead he blew it. that is not a sign of a great leader.Honestly speaking I have no respect for Tajik leaders. Most of them are a bunch of corrupt bast*rds. Only Tajik politician I have some respect for is Amrullah Saleh. You are right we should work together in order to bring peace and harmony to our country.Last edited by khushal; 10-19-2016, 02:10 AM.

Saleh did a great job. Nobody cares about Pashtuns (not even Pashtuns) and nobody is for unity in Afghanistan/region/world. Its all about interest. You care about Pashtuns and their interests thats why you are so biased against Tajiks because you consider us as your political rivals. Well your stance forces me to be a bit more hardcore on you. So between you and us we come first. More than happy with current status quo baiyan"For thirty years, I endured much pain and strife,

Thats because raping men its an old Pashtun tradition, buddy lolOriginally posted by rooh2 View PostPashtuns are weird people. The hate eachother, but every time an outsider comes like this Tajik faggot, they all come together to rape his ass, and then go back to hating each other. LOL
But at the end of the day Pashtuns got suicidal tendencies. They are their own worst enemies. Let them kill and fight each other as long as they don't harm other people."For thirty years, I endured much pain and strife,

But these are political upheavals, which has almost no such relationship with the ethnic identity of Pashtuns in and of themselves. It'd be like saying Russians hate each other because the Bolsheviks massacred the Czarists.
Sure you can say certain groups that happened to be Pashtun hate each other, but it's logically flawed to make that an intrinsic factor on that ground.
Also, as economist Kaushik Basu says: "For a nation to progress it is important for people to spend time on science, mathematics and literature instead of spending time showing that 5,000 years ago their ancestors did science, mathematics and literature."

We, pashtuns, do not hate pashtun. We definitely dislike dishonorable, devious people, irrespective of ethnicity, not off from many honourable people of the world.
Tribal people are known for honour, for saying what they mean and meaning what they say.
This conduct breaks down when one party fails to honour that principle. This has led to the demise of many great tribal people, like cecil rhodes men who feigned charting ventures into zulu territories as cartographers and betrayed the tribal king by being proxies for recce units of the white armies into fertile lands of the feldt and zimbabwe, .... or one Glub Pasha and that old chap TE Lawrence, the intrigue behind those expeditions formed colonial inroads into tribal arab lands (trans-jordan, the sauds of nejd), the brits beguiled the world with romantic stories americans made that movie alluding to his 'flamboyannt' affinity for the beauty of tribal men (another circus to keep people busy).
The urban tajiks, the clerks of buraucracy who lubricate the ministries are seen by many as dishonourable (there are plenty sayings about devious city folks you refer to 'urbane'). Because in that buraucratic jibberish the efficiency of truth is often evaded from the taciturn tribal pashtun who seeks direct pithy truth of bonded word. Thats how urbane can get caught up being devious or shrewd.
The vanquished have been guests amongst victorious pashtun, and victorious indeed in recent history of Abdali. The old adage 'might is right' is true the sense of meaning from Machiavelli to modern real-politics. Its a defacto truism because it satisfies correspondence and coherence. Look at American might and their version of right, take the failure of Weimar Republic and rise of Nationalist Socialist German expansion. In both, might is equated to right, and that leads to a new paradigm. My minor point is Khorasan was inflated from Pars and then restored back to its original provice, and that was its demise in Hotaki's dominion or finally in Abdali's Afghanistan. So a persian 'satrapies' that was vanquished was honoured in Abdali's Afghanistan in form of being a home to them. The major point being in tune with Naeem Lalai Hamidzai; tajiks and remaining vanquished are honourable guests until they become dis-honourable by peddling propaganda.
So like honourable tribals and honourable humans we pashtun do not hate other humans or pashtun but we do dislike the dishonourable and the devious irrespective of ethnicity.Last edited by torkham; 10-22-2016, 04:10 PM.

Also Firdousi your strong dislike of tribal pashtun is rooted, i suspect in certain practices that are magnified out of context, examine closely and you will find similar flaws in other forms of social structures too, not just in tribal society. You are revealing your bigotry by generalising.

I just saw this video of Afghanistan showing Kyrgyz people of isolated Pamir province regions. And it made me realize something that
Afghanistan is home to many different ethnicities and cultures...and this is only something beautiful and we must cherish in a world that is increasingly becoming homogenises in every way...Last edited by HindustanTimes; 10-22-2016, 07:24 PM.

I am a honest person. I despise Pashtun tribalism. Just because tribal people got some "good things" it doesn't mean I must support and love your barbaric way of life. Man, seriously, what "honor" are you talking about? Have you ever been to Afghanistan? Pashtuns are the most miserable people in that country. Bombed 24/7 by all their neighbors and overseas superpowers. Everyone is taking advantage of this st*pid Pashtun "patriotism", "honor" and "pride" BS.Originally posted by torkham View PostWe, pashtuns, do not hate pashtun. I don't want to bring you down, Torkham. I know you are not a bad guy. But honestly stop with the BS. I know Pashtuns very well. I was born and raised in Afghanistan, I have spent many years in the GCC working and dealing on a regular basis with Pashtuns.
There is nothing special about Pashtuns. The only thing that makes you different than rest of the world is your lack of farhang, bad manners and aggressive behavior. Dont kid yourself dude. You are not special. You are just too uneducated and too nationalist. Nothing wrong about this as long as you don't impose it on the rest of non Pashtuns."For thirty years, I endured much pain and strife,

What inspired you to pose the question that pashtuns hate each other? Could it be a few rants of a a pashtun you met in the gulf or in Afghanistan. The question is generalisation. However setting aside my other sense that tells me there is something nefarious or disingenuous about your question, let me ask you, would you say same about the confederates and the unionists; that new world europeans hate each other because of civil war? Its a rhetorical question. There are many reasons one may hate another.
As i stressed earlier your pashtun sarai hating another pashtun sarai is not hating because he is pashtun, there are many reasons.
Give me a strand a case where two pashtuns hate each other bcz they are pashtuns.
I was born in afghanistan. I lived in pakistan and in the gulf and in the Old World too. I live in afghanistan now.
I answered to your asserted hatred of tribalism. No one asked you to be tribal. We tribals do value universal qualities of honest and honour when dealing with each other.
We too detest certain traits amongst people and those traits are not restricted to one ethnic group. Some of us also generalise, but that takes us back to my response that you generalised in your starter thread.
We do however value honour and bravery pretty highly. That's us. The qabaili.Last edited by torkham; 10-23-2016, 11:25 AM.

You want to belittle my education if I dont agree with you?
You want to belittle my culture because I dont like your persianness?
You belittle me and pashtun bcz we are tribal?
You judge me by my bad manners? And who asked you to be tribal in Afghanistan?
Ooh and big talk, you 'dont' want to bring me down - i will break than bow down to fantasies of any man.
Come on educated man, this is the talk of internet heroes.Last edited by torkham; 10-23-2016, 11:45 AM.

Well perhaps you are right buddy. Perhaps I was wrong and I generalized. But the thing is Pashtun culture promotes warmongerism and bigotry more than any other culture in Afghanistan (yes I am generalizing once again lol).
