Tajiks use to be a bit more freethinkers and tolerant than Pashtuns. But I know many Pashtun atheist. A good friend of mine is a Pashtun from Adraskan, Herat. He hates Islam.

There is nothing wrong with being an Atheist or non religious. Truth is that the less religious a country is the more developed too. Just look at European countries and at your Sharia countries: Pakistan, Sudan, Somalia,.. and so on.
